Rationale: Formed from a hostile merger between Blackwell Ranch and Fulcrum Cattle Company after a long, bloody dispute over cattle rustling. This merger was initially forced by the Helix Syndicate, which took a protectionist attitude towards the company. But eventually another entity, in the form of Fa Holdings, took an interest in the company and its ulterior operations. A silent majority was bought by a certain Thirriken and its debts were cleared off the table. Now, steadily, the agriculture company was being expanded with the full political savvy of Lord Fa and his corporate assets.

DESCRIPTION:
Fulcrum Cattle Company was once the largest agricultural company in its region on Ukio. Its tremendous size and clout enabled it to get away with a great deal of unsavory practices, including bullying small competitors out of business and buying out their operations for subprime prices. The last obstacle against Fulcrum Cattle Company’s goal of monopolization was Blackwell Ranch: a small Nerf ranching operation. Fulcrum’s hostile tactics drove Blackwell Ranch to bankruptcy, at which point its colossal debts were acquired by the Helix Syndicate.
At which point, the real fun began.
With the assistance of the Helix Syndicate, the cattle baron families that had been running Fulcrum Cattle Company were terrorized into submission. Ranchers were killed. Nerfs were hustled. Fulcrum’s payoffs to get Ukio’s monarchy to look the other way in that region had suddenly backfired. When the dust settled, the Helix Syndicate offered the surviving family members their lives and safe passage off world in exchange for their company’s large holdings. Compelled by their desire to live, they accepted, and fled for all they were worth.
The holdings of Blackwell Ranch and Fulcrum Cattle Company were thus reorganized into Blackwell Agriworks, headed by Vulgrim Blackwell. Blackwell Agriworks is now the dominant force in its region, harvesting millions of pounds of crops year-round thanks to Ukio’s favorable environment. Nerf ranching, and the ranching of other herbivorous herd animals for meat, continues as well. Thanks to the greasing of wheels done by the Helix Syndicate on their behalf, the productivity of Blackwell Agriworks has reached an all-time high.
Blackwell Agriworks takes great pride in its merchant fleet, refusing to allow third-party freighting companies to transport their product. The majority of their patronage lies among the various ecumenopolis worlds: planets with burgeoning populations, a surface dominating city, and the inability to meet demands for food without outside shipments.
After Lord Fa caught wind of an investment opportunity he swiftly invested and bought a silent majority in the company.
