Rationale: Stap Praxeum is the CEO of Public Relations of BlackGuard Defense Systems. His father, Adoar Praxeum, created the company as a alternative to the monopolized arms market in Hapes by Olanj/Charubah. While Olanj/Charubah held contracts with the Hapan government, Adoar was able to outsource his products to local systems and nearby sections of the Inner Rim. Given Stap Praxeum's excellent education, Hapan celebrity status, quick thinking and familial ties to the company, he rose to the rank of CEO of Public Relations quickly.

Wealthy investor Adoar Praxeum created BlackGuard Defense Systems in effort to undermine the large corporations of Czerka and Olanj/Charubah which controlled nearly all Hapan arms dealing, including contracts with the Hapes Consortium. Having so little options but the traditional weapons of Hapes, Hapan people jumped at the opportunity for new selections of defense. Specializing in personal weaponry, Adoar's success let him grow his main headquarters located in the capital of Hapes. After only eleven years, Adoar opened the BlackGuard Defense Systems Manufacturing Plant and Storehouse on the nearby planet of Gallinore, growing the company to supply military grade weapons to local systems and other clients throughout the Inner Rim. Three years after the opening of the new plant and storehouse, a research division of the company was set up in a small space station in orbit around the generally empty planet of Lalmy'ash.
Though the Hapan government has kept their contracts with Olanj/Charubah, BlackGuard has become a well loved brand with the individuals making up the proud Cluster. Though in the home world of the Hapes Consortium, the Hapes Consortium general taste for isolationism has allowed BlackGuard to develop relationships with different governments and factions throughout the galaxy and conduct as a private business. Once BlackGuard's CEO promoted his son, Stap Praxeum, into the position of CEO of Public Relations, the business become almost unstoppable. Though unknown, Stap Praxeum is a criminal who runs a carefully constructed criminal network and uses these resources to fuel the power of BlackGuard, as well as the companies' resources to back his own motives.
