Black Tomorrow (PM for Invite)

She had been sort of paying attention. Mostly everyone talked around each other, addressing different aspects of the lab or the different people who loitered within it. Some of these people knew each other, while the other relationships were mainly newfound acquaintanceships. She poked around, a snicker escaping her lips as she observed the good doctor teasing the little girl.

As for prisoners and children, Sitara was nonchalant about their uses. Prisoners didn’t deserve many things, though they were jailed for a reason. She didn’t really agree with a lot of things, but hey, at least it wasn’t her, right? She vaguely recalled playing with prisoners to test out her newfound force abilities. Come to think of it, prisoners were a lot cheaper than lab rats too. Though they did consume a lot of food…

She shrugged and continued moving around the lab. It was then that she spotted a familiar face. It was someone she trained with, though never really had the opportunity to talk to. She moved over to the girl who’s eyes constantly flashed colours. She tapped [member="Melori Raaf"] on the shoulder and grinned. Her tone was casual, like that of an old friend.

Hey, blondie.

Saiah watched as the prisoners were shuffled along. Her pale eyes stared unapologetically at the crowd. She could somehow see herself among the prisoners. Not her current self, but the pathetic creature she had left behind. If things had gone differently, if she had picked the wrong side. Then she would have been the one shuffling along into a dark dungeon to be experimented on by 'the good doctor'. How had she avoided it? Sheer luck perhaps, or fate? It mattered not, fact of the matter was that she had done it.

She saw many greetings among the ladies of the Sith, but had to admit she herself did not know a single one except by reputation and what she had been able to access of records. Perhaps it was her lack of experience, perhaps it was a bi-product of her training as an Assassin. Their centre of operations and training was quite secluded, most of the Assassins seemed to like it that way. Saiah, however, had a broader experience in mind. Her joining the Covenant of the Black Rose opened innumerable doors for betterment, and possibly access to some of the greatest talents in the Sith.

For now, the all the Rattataki could really do was to help out with the logistics.

She was looking at the reactions of them and some seemed more open to the idea as she Seras her hand bringing the station into view and all of the rooms that were being constructed. The dormitories above the labs and prison section with observation windows being constructed. "Above the labs there are places for you to make your own, one you can bring your own unique flare to as it were. Our our garrison of stormtroopers will be kept here for protection and as to defense... well there are not many who like this system. They do not come here for fear of the creature on the worlds, in the debris that wants to consume them."

She was looking over them while the station continued to be worked on, sections being added but not powered up until they were sealed as she motioned for them to follow and there was a viewport overlooking a processing area for the prisoners. The ones she had brought were easy to tell from their brands and shaved heads, the men and woman looking nearly the same in the cheap cloth sacks on their thin frames. From there her doctors were working as visibly one stood tall with a chest of mutilation and transparent synthflesh before it went up to her face that was in a grimace of a sinister smirk.

Beyond that there were the doctors themselves working in the black uniforms and masks while they processed and tested each one. Inoculating for sicknesses as needed and cramping as many as she could into cells but leaving enough room for them to sleep and somewhat live. Then there were more, the face as it were of what they had to get people to sign up. She couldn't just be in the shadows if they were going to go after the jedi but as Seras grinned to herself she was looking over them while laughing to herself for new ways to screw with some of the jedi should they come after them.

That was the real fun of it while she was moving to the labs and rooms, construction of them to allow the sith whatever they needed be it from force hoodoo to technology labs. Her own showing a pressurized chamber with equipment she could work in unhindered and a processing center for producing different drugs they could use securing them in various containers for single use on prisoners or enemies or larger ones they could drop onto planets before she ran a hand over her head still walking into the larger disc where rooms were open for them to choose their own. "Choose... choose your quarters and make it your own."

She said it with a mechanical hiss while going towards one of the more specialized rooms, with a pressure chamber and bed she could be hooked up to but also a large painted mural of her with several of the doctors from Kalee and Ossus before the jedi came. She didn't need much in ways of personal attachments but there were more pieces to her armored suit, different shawls to wear and some weapons. The real treat was in the cushioned table she had in the pressure chamber to sleep on giving comfort but not at the expense of her body gagging and dying in her sleep. It was good enough for her.

Melori was thorough. So she scoured the station from top to bottom. There was no point in focusing on something when there might be something better to choose.

She chanced upon the canteen and noticed all the troopers there were women – even those wearing helmets could not disguise the shape of their breast-plates. She mused that whoever invented that word clearly had no idea how it would one day be so apt a description.

A quick glance told her they were standard issue, not custom-fitted. And she realised she was surrounded by women. She’d moaned to her sister that she’d found no time to meet boys and now she’d signed up to a Sisterhood. But then she figured business was business and pleasure was…well for later.

She wandered off, contemplating having her own small squad of troopers for future missions, when she found herself in a lab. This was more her eldest sister’s cup of tea (pun intended). As she glanced around, she received a tap on the shoulder.

Hey, blondie.

“Hi…” she recognised the fellow Acolyte from various training classes they’d both attended. “This place is impressive. Is this…” she indicated the lab, “The sort of stuff you’re into? I’m more…physical. You know, more direct. Rip a heart out,” Her hand snaked out at inhuman speed to simulate the act and then returned to her side, “Or simply cutting someone’s head off.”

She shrugged. "To each their own I guess?"

[member="Sitara Qin"]

[ooc]Sorry for keeping you hanging. Invasion 'stuff' slowed me down - it won't happen again[ooc]

OOC: Tis cool : )

Each way has their own benefits.” Sitara agreed as the blonde decided to tell her how she preferred toying with her ‘victims’. She liked playing around with the prisoners as a student, and well, even as someone who’s trained quite a bit she still liked to play with her food. Perhaps Melori was just a little more hands on. Sitara enjoyed messing with their minds quite literally though. She understood that there was a lot of pain in things that couldn’t be physically felt.

No matter the method, we’re still doing something right.” She shrugged as her eyes scanned the lab again. They could have a home here and Sitara, being the pink loving sith that she was, was definitely excited to redecorate. It was a hidden skill of hers, and one that wasn’t taken too seriously. Heck, even her lightsaber was pretty magenta. She had to make a statement after all.

I’m Sitara by the way.” She told the blonde, who she realized she never really formally introduced herself to. She knew that the girl was called Melori from their previous training sessions, but other than that they were never really acquainted. She offered the girl her hand to shake.

I guess we should go look at the rooms now, huh?” She asked. Luckily they’d be given their own quarters. As much as she loved people, she needed her own privacy too. She enjoyed being given the comforts of her own space. She started to walk towards where the rooms were.

Everything about the station screamed progress and stability for this new sisterhood. Raven enjoyed it all the more [member="Seras Goto"] spoke about it. When the time came to look into new rooms Darth Raven stood and followed out with everyone. But for her she felt as though she deserved one of the bigger, possibly pristine rooms of the station. Only on the grounds that she was a Sith Knight and, while not as strong as a master, made her better than an apprentice. A little selfish, yes, but her own mentality had made her feel as though she deserved it given what it took to come this far. And, after all, the Sith were greedy bastards. She made her way to the upper levels to see if there were any rooms there worth claiming.

The Covenant was truly polling out all the stops in this construction. From the prisons and labs for experiments, to personal customizable rooms, to a garrison of female Stormtroopers for the protection of the base and its' inhabitants. It seemed the progress was swift and effective,

As her tasks had dwindled, Saiah too went to inspect the rooms and to choose one for herself. She did not look for size as she preferred more confined quarters, but she looked for obscurity. She wanted to find a room that would be well hidden or so unassuming as to go unnoticed. As for inventory, she had no immediate needs besides a place to rest. Perhaps she would come to need more as she progressed in her career. Not unlikely when she thought about it.

Alyssa slid from her seat languidly and moved in the directions of the rooms. She was low woman on the totem poll, she knew that. That would change in the future, but for the mean time it wouldn't do to get in a tiff with one of the older Acolytes or Knights and Lords.

Alyssa wandered the finished hall ways, searching for a place that felt right. She planned to utilize her room for sleep, fun and helping to...soften up the subjects they used for whatever testing the more scientific sisters were going to do. She had an interest in the magical side of the Sith, but knew that such lessons wouldn't be available to her for the time being.

Alyssa turned a corner on a whim, toward the hub of the station. There, she found a room, not too large, but not too small either. It had a separate, smaller room attached for sleeping and a personal fresher. The main room was likely designed for entertaining or as a sitting room. Alyssa, instead, had something far more fun in mind. She grinned to herself as she paced out the room. The bulkheads were all internal ones and had no decorations currently. She knew she could install a system of pulleys to keep whatever subject she was working on in the right perspective...She pulled a datapad out of her pack and began to sketch out her plans.

[member="Melori Raaf"] [member="Alyssa"] [member="Saiah"] [member="Darth Raven"]

Seras watched them for a few moments, her own room off to the side and mostly concealed as to obscure the sparseness of it but she looked at some of the others. There were the different personalities that would shine through and she had many ideas of things they could do together.... but first she was getting hungry and spoke. "As you can see you can have it personalized and further along is the kitchen, not a simple mess hall as some stations would have. With our limited numbers we get to have something special." She was of course talking about some of the siths special needs as she had a slave there for food.

Slowly as she walked towards the mess hall and opened it up as still there was more space to be seen and more equipment to be worked on. THey had some of the food up and tables set. More intimate settings with hanging candles and artificial lights and droids roaming around to clean up what they had. The large viewport showing the worlds within the system and the graveyard of ships it had left from tens of thousands of years amassing it. Seras sat at one of the tables and motioned for the others to join. "But this is not merely for me to show, come tell what you would like and need within the stations. We shall get it."

Melori nodded as Sitara spoke. She was fully aware that the Sith came in all shapes and sizes. Melori wasn’t especially judgemental beyond her evaluation of worthiness. What you did to be of value to the One Sith was immaterial.

“A while ago, it would have been fair to say I was little more than pure hatred - but I’ve evolved since then. And I’ve learned patience and have done my best to curb my arrogance,” a thin smile played on her lips. There was no humour in her comments, just an understanding of how far she’d come but the journey she still had to complete.

“But it’s fair to say I’m obsessed with achieving absolute victory in anything and at any cost. I’ve even trained myself to be capable of withstanding pain in order to succeed. And I guess I relish combat, but I don’t just want to be an assassin.”

She didn't now why she was sharing so much. Perhaps she'd relied on her sister and Master too much for company since she'd joined the One Sith and now she needed to find new people to spend time with? “And hi Sitara. I’m Melori. Melori…Rae.” It was the first time she’d faltered in sharing her name since she’d woken up in the hospital on Coruscant. She’d already decided to seek out Darth Venefica and share her concerns over her eldest sister’s journey and more importantly her middle sister’s identity.

She shook hands. “Yeah, I guess we’ll be spending a lot of time here so it makes sense to pick out a room.” She was less of a designer and more of a magpie. Her rooms back on Coruscant were an eclectic mess of datapads, spills of dominions and treasure hunts and dancing paraphernalia - specifically ballet.

So she fell into step with her ‘sister’ and wondered if the rooms were all the same or if by seeking one out early they’d get one of the better ones.

Darth Venefica moved into her lab, fascinated by all the various machines at her disposal. She had been in the 'civilized' galaxy for only 12 years now but even this swamp witch from Dagobah was always finding something new attracting her eyes; gripping her mind with excitement. She was overwhelmed by all the options open to her. But it was chemical and biological warfare that had called to her, settling her mind. She had killed countless enemies with her blade and even more with the guiding hand of the Force, but this, what she was about to embark upon would kill far more on a grander scale; and with less taxing energy on her.
"Welcome! You must be Darth Venefica," a small obese male with balding hair and glasses rebelling against him to stay in place greeted her. "I am Dr. Soita. I've been assigned to assist you in getting your feet wet." His ensuing snorting chuckle annoying her.
"A pleasure," she lied. Granted she needed to be pointed in the right direction but if this man could not get his annoying chuckle under wraps, he would find in the end he too, would be a test subject. "So please indulge me with your knowledge, good doctor."
The man clapped his hands in joy then gestured for her to follow him as he began to explain the different equipment at her disposal.
"We have several upright and chest freezer racks to store all manners of viruses and bacteria. 99% percent of all pathogens die under extreme temperatures of heat. So the freezers keep them both dormant and safe. Also, we have four carbonite freezer racks and cannisters to freeze finished products until called upon for use."
Darth Venefica nodded her head, while her mind was racing with more excitement.
"As you will notice the glass encased cubicles, those are the lab's freezer workstations where we create life. These smaller labs can support veterinarian, horticulture, pharmaceutical, industrial, scientific and medical research, as well as cell and tissue banks for study."

I get what you mean.” After all, who didn’t like victory? Sitara felt the same thing for her little petty games like pazaak and sabbacc. Those were always fun to play, as well as win. She understood that everyone had their quirks, and well, whatever it was that made them tick. Sitara couldn’t judge anyone here; they were all part of the same sisterhood. They had to at least like each other, and so far, nobody here was annoying. That was a plus. Unless, of course, she was the annoying one.

And what was her name? Melori Rae? Cool. It was easy to memorize and short. “Well, Melori Rae, let’s go check em out.

The rooms she stumbled into were all similarly decorated, probably to make it easier for them to personalize it when they claimed it. She chose a spot near the kitchen. It was tidy now, but give it a few weeks and it would’ve looked like a tornado passed the room by. She relaxed on the small bed till she heard a certain doctor's voice.

Anything they wanted? Well this was a very generous sisterhood, and in order to formalize the fact that they were one, they need a very specific something. Sitara’s face broke into a grin as she stepped out of her newly claimed room.

Woo! Bring out the booze!” Chimed her voice down the halls.

Melori followed Sitara through the corridors. She felt oddly unburdened in sharing something of herself. Since she’d joined the One Sith she’d been solitary, in part because of her identity and the remainder because she trusted no-one. But here felt different. A real sisterhood.

And given her experience with blood relatives, at least this group allowed you to choose who to be sisters with – and the group dynamic should keep bitchiness and back-stabbing to a minimum. Not that gossip wouldn’t still be fun.

It reminded her oddly of her early years in the Jedi Academy on Corellia. She'd been the ring-leader of the bad girls and she loved it. This was similar, but here, they got to make their own rules.

At the mention of alcohol, Melori’s eyes widened. When she was just a teenager, sneaking whiskey into the Academy was always fun and she probably had the six-year coma to thank for saving her liver.

Since she’d been on Coruscant, she’d been able to do whatever she pleased – but had yet to socialise and her hectic training schedule meant she’d not been in a position to drink. But here? And now? It sounded like it was about to be party time.

“And music, we need music!”

[member="Sitara Qin"]

As the group of females entered the dining hall and shouts for music and alcohol echoing down the hall behind her, Saiah stood still, almost frozen for a second as she took in the scenery of the food quarters. The assassins' homeport was cosy at best, but this was simply grand. Grandeur was something Saiah was absolutely not used to. She gaped a little and stood there for a few seconds before she rushed to the viewpoint, her skirts snapping behind her. A grin spread across her black-painted lips as she took in the scenery.

The Rattataki had seen her fair share of shipwrecks, but for this luxury was simply alien to her. After all, she had spent most of her reasonably short life in a sandy gutter or prison cell on Rattatak, or huddled in a ragged tent near a soon-to-be battlefield. Her most luxurious dining had ever come from a canteen like that of the Stormtroopers.

As [member="Seras Goto"] spoke she turned so as to catch the full extent of her words. Having taken in the scenery and most of the room, she returned to table near soundlessly and sat down as they all had been beckoned to, and gave the doctor her full attention.

She felt like a spoiled little girl in a doll shop. Everything she wanted to touch. Everything she wanted to play with. Everything she wanted to take home and rub in the noses of her friends. Of course, she had no friends. But in this make believe thought, she had to many to count! Returning to reality, she carefully looked at each piece of equipment, noting what their uses were. Her mind could absorb great knowledge, something she always prided herself on. As a Sith Mentalist, her mind was her greatest weapon. And to her enemies, their mind was their greatest foe.
After learning the basics of the equipment, she was now more eager than ever to begin working on projects. Still, she had no idea what she wanted to begin with first, but one thing was certain; she wanted to create in order to destroy. So with the assistance of Dr. Soita, she began to work on understanding the effects of pathogens. The good doctor cheerfully explained to her the various viruses and bacteria that could be shaped into bio-weapons, ringing in a new age of warfare and terror against the Republic and the Jedi.
"I highly recommend we start out small," he said after finishing his lecture on pathogens. "The better you understand what you are dealing with, the better your success. And with greater success comes some nasty buggers."
"Very well. Please demonstrate for me how to work with biogenetics."
Once they completed their transfer into protective clothing, they stepped inside one of the workstations. Dr. Soita typed in some phrases, a safety precaution he told her in case their files fell into enemy hands.
"The system has a built-in fail safe. If the phrase is not properly inputted into the computer, the system will burn and purge all the files. So remember the phrases you use. You only get one shot."
A mechanical arm swung into motion, plucked a vial containing an amber looking fluid, and finally placed it gently into a small rack where Dr. Soita removed it with greater caution.
"Currently we are unsure what this is. It was discovered on Mustafar some time ago. However, we do know that it has some horrific properties we can extract from it. But this fluid is only a foundation. And it's from foundations that we create far more terrifying results."

Seras watched them drift off to their different areas and held a grin under her mask, she moved from where she could get some food and indulged the two calling for music and booze. Though she wasn't certain what kind either wanted while she spoke. "Have alcohol and music brought from the ship, continue construction on the sections of the station and do as needed but we'll offer some thanks for the construction crews." She said it into the comlink as one of the humans on the other end confirmed and they were heading to them. With the celebration while she was heading to change. Out of the heavy armor and into a slimmer, lighter preservation suit.

The process was in her room with her small team as she stood in the pressurized chamber, her armor able to be actually taken off for a moment with her full facial scars being shown. Around the small curve of her lips and avoiding her nose to be under her eye while it went down the side of her throat. Her hair going to the side of her head for a moment while the doctors pulled her hair back into a tight ponytail that exposed more of her scars but she finished up and stood there with a form fitted chest plate. Over her lungs and heart while she was walking and felt lighter but was moving to the crates of drinks that had been brought up.

She had that ready for them while the others were working on their rooms and finding things. She was seeing Venefica was in one of the labs being set up as a smile played across her face under the mask and she walked displaying more of where she held burns and scars on her throat, shoulders and along her back that had the connecting plate in the center of her back. She looked off at to the sith lord and had a mechanical laugh while she looked through the lab. "It can be a great place when used correctly, you just have to be willing to give up all sense of morals or weaknesses and have the will to use what is created here."

As drinks and memory sticks containing music started coming in, Sitara rushed into the kitchen to grab them. She plugged the memory stick into one of the audio boxes and music started rushing in. She beemed an excited grin over to Melori Raaf, one of her fellow sisters who was closer to her age range than the other people here. She was glad that even though most of the Sith girls were high ranking powerful individuals, they still knew how to have fun.

She started to pour drinks for everyone. “Woohoo!” She said, shaking her hips to the beat of the song. Yes, this was totally going to be a welcoming party. Work was still going to get done, but what was the point of having a sisterhood if there were no bonding activities? Work would always be there for them to get done, but parties were always fun to have down.

She was glad there was a selection of drinks for them to choose from, ranging from the most expensive and fine aged wine to the cheapest of brandy. It all depended on your taste though, Sitara thought as she began to mix drinks together. “If I weren’t force sensitive, I’d probably be a bartender…for the Sith of course.” She winked as she made a few cocktails for the girls.

She set the drinks onto a tray and offered one to Melori. “Let’s go pass these out, yeah?

| [member="Alyssa"] | [member="Darth Raven"] | [member="Darth Venefica"] | [member="Saiah"] | [member="Shuduc Macar"] | [member="Kitty"] | [member="Chashmona"] | [member="Melori Raaf"] |

A welcoming party, how charming. She suppose there is no use in resisting. All the big girls seemed to be going away to play with their new toys. Saiah casually nicked a glass from the tray as [member="Sitara Qin"] handed one to [member="Melori Raaf"]. Her hands were rather quick and sure, a trait refined in her from her days of pickpocketing, now she noted she had gone rusty. She used to be skilled, now she was unsure whether or not the sister with the tray had noticed. Even if she didn't, Saiah had to hand it to her: This was a good drink. She turned to Sitara again, to compliment her drink.

"These are marvellous. You really must show me how it's done."

In part, she wondered to herself whether it would be a good drink to poison. The taste was strong enough to hide a good poison, if anything it would be just a tad too sweet. However, by the time they had tasted, it didn't really matter any more. As long as she could make a good cocktail for people to want to taste. She added making cocktails to her mental to-do list.

Saiah surveyed the girls around her, and many were just older than her. While she was still in her late teens, many of them were distinctly adult, however young. Some were younger than herself, of course. Some were even children, she had noticed. What power would that child grow to posess? When her most impressionable years were ahead of her. Years in which the child could absorb all the secrets of the Sith. For a moment she envied the child, but it was brief. She smiled her wicked smile and drank her marvellous cocktail.

As the music started, Melori began to sway in time. She may be classically trained but she enjoyed most genres and could adapt to most styles on the dance-floor.

She smiled at Sitara. This moment was a lifetime away from her recent experiences. Sith Lords attempting to put the fear of death into you (and typically succeeding), hours spent in dark and oppressive tombs as well as many hours subjugating planets to the Sith rule.

This took her back to her early teenage years. She was no longer a rebel for her actions, but the emotions were the same. She was doing this for herself. Not for her former Master (she refused to call her anything else now – not even name her) or the One Sith but for the sheer fun of it. And her true sisters were here. Ones that were allied through choice, not blood.

She moved closer to Sitara and watched her pour the drinks. There were going to be a few sore heads in the morning, that much was assured. So she grabbed what appeared to be a Sonic Servodriver and took a large sip. The taste was like nectar – albeit an alcoholic version.

“You mix a mean cocktail,” she grinned at Sitara and then faced towards the remaining sisters. “Come and get them, it’s party time.”

She hadn’t really noticed that Saiah had gotten a drink, though she was glad her fellow sister liked it. She was pretty happy to be complimented, and she even blushed a little. She grinned, her head facing Saiah momentarily. “Thanks. I totally should. It isn’t too hard with a little bit of experience.” She winked, as she began to set a few more glasses down for the rest of the girls, pouring them with the cold drinks. “I don’t think I’ve properly introduced myself. I’m Tara.” She smiled.

She was glad Melori was having fun as well. Usually the stereotype for Sith girls was that they were too serious and had a dark sense of humour. That wasn’t necessarily true, and she liked knowing that her fellow sisters could be fun. She was serious when she needed to be, but with the music playing in the background and the other girls swaying to the beat of the music, Sitara was glad to to enjoy this rarely seen sight.

It wasn’t all training and torture.

She grinned at the blonde and thanked her too. “C’mon guys, let’s partttyyyy.” Spotting the kid in the distance, she shook her head. “Except for you, little girl. You’re too young to drink this stuff.” Being a good older sister here.
