Toshara Sabaac Rules

The contractor drew his first two cards as he looked across the table.

Rumors across the Underworld began to spread like a wildfire. Political leaders and figures of power were taking note of the Black Sun and their operations. Work could only be hidden for so long. There were talks of enlisting private contractors, mercenaries, and even bounty hunters to take care of this criminal scum. Fortunately, it helped that Lynch was a high-ranking member of the Bounty Hunters' Guild, so he had a lot of say in what could be listed.

The man also knew that making allies with the Black Sun could be very profitable business. Criminals were always looking for new bounty hunters to do their dirty work. That work was what he specialized in.

By the end of today, Lynch hoped that a list of potential targets of valuable from rival groups would be created, giving the man a scope of what his operations could begin to accomplish.

"So everyone, how does starting with the Alliance sound, hm?"

"Ambitious," Razmir smiled.

The Alliance held a wealth of targets from the incredibly lucrative to the incredibly suicidal. He'd conducted one operation on an Alliance world with a modest payout. And had heard of another one conducted in a much more violent vein, with a similarly humble payout.

"Empires as large as the Alliance's have a tendency to be so big and bloated that the wisdom of a mynock can end up making you a truly rich man."

Mynocks, of course, weren't wise. They were parasitic bottom feeders, barely sentient. But an infestation of them could cripple even a space station from the amount of power being leeched. The metaphorical leap: set up many small operations to bleed a much larger beast dry.

Razmir lifted the edge of the cards he'd been dealt, sparing them a quick glance.

"Alliance is an easy target," Arcadian said. He tapped the table with a gloved hand, which was acknowledged by the dealer droid. It used its forked hands to slide a red and yellow card to him, which he took with interest.

"They are distracted. Bloated. Slow. Even Crimson Dawn managed to infiltrate the Core." He was referring to their competitor's attack on the Fondor Senate building, an attack that saw Senator Kel Se'Taav Kel Se'Taav attacked and forced into retirement, among others. "Many bounties remain unclaimed. Forgotten. The Empires have left many ghost accounts full of credits just waiting to be claimed. Perhaps we commandeer them?"

Reviving old bounties was a risky market, but one Cade knew Black Sun could manage well. Few other organizations were willing to touch the old writs because they nibbled at galactic icons. Jedi, generals, senators - it was a buffet of the Core's brightest stars. Burning them out or even dimming their light was in the best interest of Black Sun and its allies.
