The Admiralty
The cabin doors hissed open and he could make out heavy bootsteps, they stopped half-way through the room and Khaleel tried to ignore it as best as possible. “Really, Khal?” the high-pitched sing-sang tone was unmistakable, Arya had been part of outfit for a long time now - she was closer to him than most. That proximity made her take liberties few others would. Maybe Alec, but that was a different story altogether.
He grunted, his hand already moving to rub the sand out of his eyes. “Feth. Can’t even give myself a few more minutes.” the cyan twi’lek wasn’t impressed or intimidated at all. He could hear her chortle, even if she was trying to suppress it a little bit.
“You are literally the only man I know that can sleep when he’s about to embark on the biggest journey of his life. How do you do that?” it was easy, comparatively speaking. Acknowledge that things can go wrong and that you are just one man - from there you can either start fidgeting about all the little mistakes that are gonna be made outside of your control… or you accept it’s outside of your control, then just trust in your people to do what they do best.
Why hire them otherwise?
