Sorel Crieff

Ready are you? What know you of ready?
Sorel looked at the bracers. She wished she had these at her disposal when she was younger. Despite her size, she always favoured the more physical saber Forms and had to compensate speed for power – often relying on kinetic energy to generate the desired strength of blow.

Nowadays she used the Force to augment her attacks, utilising Force Valor. But back in the day, such a training aid would have been superior to the bags of sand she used to tie to her ankles and wrists. They provided the weight to oppose her as she practised, but they were awkward to use too.

“These are really neat,” she said to Orihime. “And I’d love to get a pair, not just for me but for training Padawans too.”

Orihime looked at her and.... "There are some, I don't know if enough for entire classes but my mothers did make them to teach. Should be able to get some that can be used. Less awkward when training then if you are using cords and weights or strapping weights to you." She had done that as well but was bringing out some of the other training aids that were also in there. They had some equipment and some food. "We should be arriving sometime in the next few hours so I would recommend sleeping and preparing. Don't want if there are any gree the first impressions to be that we are smelly." Could be insulting or send the wrong message if they communicated by smell.

“Oh, one set will do. More for one on one training than entire classes.” She then sifted through the remaining training aids. There appeared to be meditation bracelets, comfortable eye covers that looked more practical than a simple blindfold as well as various contraptions she had no idea what they were for.

Putting them back where she got them from, Sorel smiled. “OK. A quick nap and then a shower. And fresh robes!”

Orihime was looking at her and she gave a nod of her head for that. She could see the possibility for herself and wanted to be able to go off and help in any of these things. Sleeping as they traveled and went to go would refresh them for the real challenge... maybe. A big risk that would be coming to them from this was if any of the creatures that were on the worlds had just moved in and were hostile. Orihime went off to go and nap for a bit setting her own chrono sos he would be able to shower and be clean as well. Smell good, look good and be good to present the order in a positive light to the rest of the galaxy was an ideal to live by before she went over her equipment closing her eyes.

Sorel was something of an oddity. She didn’t like to go to bed without a shower and so she had a quick clean and hair wash before hitting the pillow. She was asleep really quickly and was still in a deep sleep when her alarm woke her.

And the moment she jumped out of bed, she immediately went back into the shower, wishing to clean herself once more.

So a very clean Sorel presented herself to the galley area to grab some eggs and toast as a snack before she went back to her room and made sure she had a full utility belt, ready for the adventure ahead.

Orihime woke up with the alarm and moved quickly to go and shower, make sure she was prepared and then head off. Wanting to see what they would be able to get. She was going and getting some food as she stood there looking out. Here and for now they did have a chance to see something good when the world was visible below. Dark green with cloud and the blue of oceans, some area sshe could feel and you could see something there. Massive in sie and taking up a large chunk of the world on the surface as it spread out and had been grown over slowly. "Well if that doesn't say no one home, I don't know what else could." The jungle and planet is overgrowing their massive library."

As soon as it was visible, Sorel went to the cockpit to take a look at the planet below. It was, as many planets appear from this distance, beautiful. But the closer they got, the more she realised what Orihime vocalised. It looked an unspoiled world because whatever civilisation once called this planet home, was long gone. There were no visible cities. No doubt they existed – but they were no doubt now so overgrown with flora that they blended into the landscape.

Hopefully sensor readings could identify where the cities once were and help their search for the legendary library.

“I guess not having locals to ask where to find things is both a blessing and a curse. But hopefully more of a blessing.”

Sorel was right and she looked at it with her attention on some more of the details here. Sticking around before they were able to come in closer with more sensor readings. Orihime was certain about it though as she pointed out. "We can find a place here, maybe nothing looks clear enough but we can land on top of the structure and search for something that would be working as an opening." Or they could cut one if they needed it but it might not be easy given this thing was still standing while everythign else was overgrown. Orihime had her pack of equipment ready to go, a small pack of food that she could use offering a grin on her face at the idea of having more adventure.

Sorel considered their options. They had no way of telling what might be living down there and they could expend all of their energy just trying to find a way in.

“I’m with you. Let’s land on top of the structure and find a way in from above. Maybe their roofs doubled as landing pads? If not, they are bound to have some sort of service access.”

With that she grabbed her small bag and swung it over her shoulders. “I’m ready to go, what about you?”

Orihime was looking at Sorel and she gave a nod of her head that she was ready to begin. To really start beefing it up in this case with exploration having her pack on her back and her saber there on her hip. Orihime moved her hands to her hair and pulled it back to pull into a ponytail before securing it just in case there was water or something that would make her hair go all crazy. "I am ready." She was sticking to it and preparing to head down there where they could all go bringing out one of the scanners with a small look on her face. She was going towards the ramop while they landed near some access shafts with her attention on the climbing gear so they could descend if it was needed. She was looking over at different areas on the roof of the building and a grin was on her face. "Lets go and see what we will be able to find."

Sorel was in two minds about her cloak. It was not always the most practical for climbing, but it served other purposes. Finally she decided to leave it behind and strapped a small rucksack to her back.

She always relied on Orihime to have the scanners and knew that they were something she would need to add to her tool-kit, especially when she went exploring with her Padawans.

Once they walked down the ramp, the obvious point of entry appeared to be the access shafts. She immediately walked over to one and saw they were clearly electronically controlled. With no power the cover could be locked shut or easily removed.

Fortunately it was the latter – the covers must have been held secure electromagnetically. Peering down the dark shaft, Sorel wondered what they might find. “Let’s hope it all goes so simply.”

She was looking at her and hmmm yeah they would need to hope something like that with a small look on her face while she wanted it to go easy... kind of. The excitement was when you needed to think about something to get out of it all. With a small look on her face though Orihime had a grin on her face. She was ready for it all. She was bringing out her saber to test and was starting to cut itno the vent so they could well not have it slam shut on them. "Just got to have some fun, my mother always taught me that a problem is just something in need of a solution and a jedi should be able to adapt to fix and change it." She was looking to see what they might be able to do. Orihime was making the hole so they could fit in it and the mechanical ascended for climbing so they could get up quickly she had ready to use. "We'll see what we can find inside of it all."

Sorel Crieff

Ready are you? What know you of ready?
Sorel stood back. Where she would have simply lowered a rope and started climbing, Orihime was far more measured and Sorel realised she could learn a lot from that approach.

“Your mother is very wise and so I should listen to her advice. And at some point soon, I need to invest some time in understanding what technology the Silvers have for our use.”

“Now. Who wants to go first?” Sorel really didn’t mind but she was keen to at least give Orihime the choice.

Looking at Sorel with a small grin on her face while she was thinking about it and presenting them with a far better way to get down the shaft. WIth a few more looks between them they should be able to set around here. Orihime was looking down, ready to go when Sorel offered a nod of her head. "We'll do it together." She was waiting there with a look on her face before she was setting herself up with the equipment and dropping a glow rod to illuminate the bottom that looked a distance away. "looks like it could be at least four levels down." She was uncertain but leaving it open for them both to go down while she secured her saber on her hip before she set a second glow rod on her hip to illuminate the area in the shaft.

Based upon the height of the building and the time it took for the glow rod to reach the bottom of the shaft, Sorel figured that Orihime’s calculation was about right.

“Together then,” she said and set up to descend, checking all of her equipment was securely stowed before looking back to her friend. “I’m ready,” she said and awaited Orihime’s lead.

Perfect Orihime was prepared to go with it and prepare herself for a few things. Waiting for a moment so Sorel could be in position as she let loose jumping back and descending down into the shaft quickly with her eyes closed. The force reaching out to alert her when she was getting close to it and to everything else. With a look on her face while the force was leading her down into the library itself where the force was guiding her down to the ground itself. Orihime landed with her legs coming down until she looked up and could see some fo the glow rods. The building they were in was dark and smelled like clean air. Compared to the world outside it was also mostly cast in shadows with some areas filtering light in from the transparasteel. "Pretty."

Sorel Crieff

Ready are you? What know you of ready?
Sorel closed her eyes. Not because the prospect of the downward journey was daunting but rather due to the fact that she chose to use Force Sight. Her spatial awareness was far better than trying to use her eyes and so she negotiated the vertical descent without touching any of the sides of the shaft – nor Orihime.

She landed softly and, opening her eyes, she found her sight adjusting quickly to the low-light. Looking up she noted the light being permitted entry to the building through what must have been the equivalent of transparasteel windows.

“Pretty and practical.” She looked around. “I guess this is the part where you set lots of drones free to map the area?”

Orihime was looking at her with a small grin on her face as she debated it but she hadn't brought dozens of drones. They would be able to work on it though before she moved getting some of the small archive droids. The small apples sized droids were moving around and like a small swarm before she looked over at Sorel with a glow rod and she was focusing rhe force with her sight here. "A good plan to use here." They could be set up to go around and map for them as she was using the force to reach out and see in the dark. Walking around and the rows of databanks were still showing they had power when Orihime could look up at large pillars of stone showing them around the area.

Sorel Crieff

Ready are you? What know you of ready?
Sorel thought for a second. “Wouldn’t it be good if we could export what we see into the database. I mean, with Force Sight, I can see through walls. That would be excellent data to share with the probes as they wander the corridors, understanding what is simply a wall and what has a room on the other side.”

“But I digress. It’s good to see we still have power. Some lights right now would be an excellent thing.”

She gave her a nod to that, if they could use some f the force sight they had to look around here. "Agreed if we could find some lights." A smirk was on her face though as she was moving, letting the attention come from her to the rows where she was walking and setting the glow rod. The sounds echoed in the large structure before Orihime was checking one of he walls. "No lights but there are smaller rooms around here and." She traile doff opening one of the doors that went into the room where she could turn on the lights for it. They hummed to life while flickering a little with a look around at some of the artifacts they had brought around here. With more rows of databanks along the wall that she could see and tairs leading up to more rooms.
