Black Fire, Blue Armor. (Taming of Nocturna)

The dragon led it's assault with fire, breathing a large plume of flame down the corridor. Break and the Shistavanen ran full speed down the hall flames close behind. Break made it to the next control panel as the second door was Still opening. And that's when he had the idea. He would trap her in the mines. Sure it wasn't a perfect plan but it was better than getting burned to a crisp!

"Keep her busy while I shut the first door!'

Break shouted as he began typing in access codes to begin the lock down process
[member="Torvas Vief"]

One of the perks of essentially being a wolf was the speed that came along with it, and Torvas was able to jolt down with [member="Break"] as the two of them avoided the flames. The fact that he had riled himself up into an almost feral rage had also helped quite a bit when it came to harnessing that natural ability.

He jumped from side to side, indicating that he had received the other individual's request. It seemed that if he were good at anything, Torvas was certainly good at keeping the dragon quite busy and being a very elusive prey for it. Perhaps it had helped considering that he was, himself, a predator and worked from a beast's mindset.

"How's it coming with the door?!"

The dragon snarled and snapped at the Shistavanen. It's maw oozing black saliva as she tried to maneuver in the cave. Much like [member="Torvas Vief"] had an edge being fast she had a disadvantage of being so large in such a small environment she whipped her tail side to side trying to get at her prey but she only managed To shake some of the crumbling ceiling down upon herself and around her.

Meanwhile Break was trying to force the door shut with codes and security access as fast as he could.

"I need more time! Just...just a little more time..."

His fingers were moving faster than the computer and the menu was lagging behind.

Fortunately, Torvas' own tail was an advantage in that respect as he was able to maintain some additional balance as a result of it. Looking back toward [member="Break"] to see how much longer the other individual would have been, Torvas turned around again and snarled, snapping just as ferociously as that dragon had.

This was exactly the kind of adventure he was hoping for when he stepped onboard that ship in the first place, and he was honestly loving it more than anything. That being said, his intellectual mind did think of one thing that his savage mind had not, and that was the fact that he might not have been able to keep this up forever.

He'd have to have the other break that code sooner or later.

"GOT IT!"

Break yelled as the final codes were out in slowly the first door began to shut behind the dragon and slowly the doors began shutting behind the droids panel

this was it a choice to be made at this moment go further down the cave towards safety but be inevitably trapped inside the mine with the dragon guarding the exit or run to freedom, but headlong into the dragon right now. Break looked to the Shistavanen to make the call he seemed to have a connection with the dragon through bestial instincts. So far his life was in danger and Break would do anything to help . The only thing he had to do was tell Break where to be. [member="Torvas Vief"]

Snarling again, the Shistavanen continued to dart about, apparently not fearful of the dragon, but this was perhaps merely because of the fact that he had allowed himself at this point to be almost completely controlled by his beastly instincts. Offering that same growling noise to [member="Break"] as he turned his head, Torvas soon answered in the negative.

"I thought that we were here to catch and slay the dragon, not run away!" With his eyes darting about, it certainly appeared as though he were going to soon go after Nocturna's wings, based around the idea that it was perhaps a weak spot on the aforementioned creature.

Perhaps, then again, his plan was absolutely insane.

Break launched himself into the fray heading towards the mouth of the cave the heavy doors threatened to trap them in with the giant death beast.

"I plan to tame the blasted thing! But first we need it trapped!"

He exclaimed as he dove underneath the beast passing between the legs. And under the tail. He ran as fast as he could.

"There is another control panel back on the outside. We can activate security measures from out there."
Break knew if they could make it outside they could activate the knockout gas the mine used to trap the Wasteland Raiders when times became tough.

"Believe me there is more than enough glory in surviving an atta-"

Break was then hit by Nocturna's heavy tail midstride. It threw him to the wall as his body went limp and his eyes dimmed.

The dragon then turned its head to Torvas breathing a blast of fire then moved to its incapacitated prey leaning against the wall
[member="Torvas Vief"]

Fighting with himself for a moment or two proved disastrous as Torvas was thrown against the wall by a swipe of the dragon's claws. Eventually, though, he recovered and perhaps just in time fortunately as he would have otherwise been burned to a crisp if he had remained down any longer.

Soon he rushed to the side of [member="Break"] and looked down toward the other. His paws tried to wake him up as best as he could, but with a few more sniffs of his canine nostrils he soon figured something out.

Break...didn't seem to be organic at all.

He glanced back at the dragon, figuring that he had to get the apparent droid awake as soon as possible if they were going to trap that dragon and not get eaten in the process.

Breaks eyes quickly began to glow blue signaling a reboot as his body came back to life he came to his feet slowly however, the direct hit to the torso had done some damage to the HRD he grasped his side and then his partners shoulder motioning to the exit with his eyes.

"Let's make a dash..."

He began to charge his plasma canon

[member="Torvas Vief"]

Well, Torvas would have been genuinely surprised if a weapon of that magnitude weren't used to slay the dragon, but he was going to say anything. Admittedly, he had a ton of respect for that level of firepower. Turning back slowly, he blinked for a moment and carefully exhaled.

"Right! Hold on if you need me. Worst comes to worst, well, you can ride on my back."

At the moment he didn't have an opportunity, but he was going to have to ask about what looked to be a reboot to him from before.

If [member="Break"] were a droid, however, he was one of the closest Torvas had ever seen to an organic creature.

Break raised his blaster to the ceiling and loosed the shot dropping heavy rock onto the back of the Ragna dragon. It would definitely stop her assault, but it would take much more than that to kill her. Break leaned against the wall for a bit motioning the Shistavanen to move before the door shut he ran along side him to reach the exit.
"Don't worry about me. I don't feel pain."
Which was very true but he could feel his components struggling to function had he been an organic he definitely would have been in some serious trouble right now. Break however knew if he let it affect him now he would surety perish.

[member="Torvas Vief"]

Well, the single stated fact that the other individual had asserted that he didn't feel any pain had cemented down the fact that he was a droid. Looking around for a moment, he kept his distance once the rock had been fired down on the aforementioned creature. Once [member="Break"] had indicated that he had needed to move, Torvas was off and running, showing the entire bit of the same prowess that he always had when running.

"I know you don't want me to know what you are," he called out as he moved through the passage that the other had signaled him down through, "but if you want, when this is all through, I will look you over for repairs and patch you up the way that I patched Eight-Cee up before."

As he continued to make his way down the corridor, Torvas hastily added one other additional comment.

"Your secret is safe with me."

Break ran with the Shistavanen to the exit as the door slowly came close to closing about 13 inches from the ground was all that was left before the 2 foot thick durasteel door would close.
Break ran as fast as he could diving beneath the door as it came slowly down it was only once he was outside that he noticed the sirens going off and the plume of smoke and fire that was following them.

-The dragons view-
Nocturna had them cornered now as she saw the blue one ready his tiny gun. She opened her maw to swallow them whole just after Break had lost his shot towards the rocks above. She swooped down to end the fight right as she felt the rocks tumble down upon herself. She roared in pain as they pelted her. (In reality it's like being shot by a beanbag gun to a human) the rocks came down upon her back as she xringed. She would kill them now-... wait they were headed for the exit! She breathed a plume of fire as they ran headlong to freedom.
[member="Torvas Vief"]

Admittedly he was very grateful right now for the mask that [member="Break"] had given to him before, since it was allowing him to fight through the smoke and fire that was following him. With the heightened senses that a wolfman had it could be at times hard to put up with that kind of an odor.

Now seeing the light ahead of him, Torvas gave one last big push and should the droid have allowed him to do so, he would have scooped up Break as well in order to take advantage of his speed and get them out of the back of the tunnel. He figured that was the ultimate plan, and therefore he did everything in his power to just get out.

Apparently, the other individual was trying to trap the dragon in here and if need be that was what he was going to do.

Looking back slowly, the image of those flames was just an incredible piece of encouragement to continue dragging him forward no matter how tired he had allowed himself to get.

There would be ample time to rest later on. The wolfman had to finish up the escapade first.

As the two made it outside(just barely) the door shut trapping the beast inside. Break hurried to the access panel and again started entering codes. This time the process was much quicker than the first. He shut down all other security systems diverting all the power to keeping the doors shut and activated the ventilation system security measures. The room was swiftly flooded with Nytinite. The purple gas soothed drenched over the beast as she snapped and hissed at it. She Breathed in deeply trying to burn the...the awful...the....sooothing gas.... until she was completely asleep.

After waiting for 10 minutes to make sure the dragon was knocked out, Break brought up the surveillance system and confirmed.

"Ha...I might take you up on that repair job..."
Break laughed as he was slicing the system.
"But let's make it back into the city first."
Break contacted the town elder and hailed in a transportation ship with reinforced restraints for the dragon.

"I owe you guys big time..."
He laughed
Is there anything I can repay you with [member="Torvas Vief"]

Once the dragon was apparently confined and unconscious, Torvas shook his head at [member="Break"] and started to wag his tail in appreciation. "How exactly do you plan to tame the dragon...and for that matter, for what purpose did you want to do so?" Apparently he was quite surprised by the behavior, but he realized that it took all kinds.

Finally exhaling again, he turned back and kept wagging his tail, "We probably should head back. Like you said, you could use a little repair work. Why were you trying to hide the fact that you are not organic to me before? I do not attempt to disguise myself as human."

Shaking some of the carbon scoring from where it had collected on the tips of his fur, Torvas looked back toward the other and laughed a bit, "Repay me? Well, since I didn't get a chance to get any dragon meat could you buy me lunch? I mean once we make it back to town."

Admittedly, though, the adventure was enough of a payment for him as it were anyway.

Break gave half a laugh at how kind the Shistavanen was toward him. He wasn't sure if he knew how most HRD were perceived by the majority of people.

"You see [member="Torvas Vief"] ... not everyone is particularly fond of my kind. You see humans fear my kind...and for good reason, the history of HRD kind isn't the best bedtime story."
He finished with the control panel and removed his helmet his shiny blue black hair falling loose.
"And as for the dragon? Let's just say I owe it to her species."
Then he began to walk to the wrecked ship.
"Let's check on the other two shall we?

The source of Torvas' kindness was his toughness. Since he felt that he was an in control predator, he felt that had the luxury of being kind and helpful to whomever he wished. If anyone tried to mess with him, then he could take care of it and hence he didn't really fear being taken.

Hence, he seemed to act without any of the preconceived prejudices that many people usually had.

"The best bedtime story? I used to be a Wing Guard officer in Cloud City on Bespin. Believe me; I have seen plenty of things that would not make for good children's stories unless you were trying to scare them into behaving."

"Sure, let's go then. I'd call Eight-Cee but I think my droid caller got smashed in all that action."

Soon enough he was taking the opportunity to adjust his now disheveled topknot hair.

As Break and [member="Torvas Vief"] walked back Break would tell him how he was first taken hostage then rose to power in the Yuuzhan Vong faction the Horde. How he helped to train this dragon and how she had once been a more proud and intelligent beast. But the Surge coral in her Brain had started to take over and corrupt her memory. He explained that the radioactive winds that blow over Arcadia were in a way a sort of chemotherapy and slowly killed the coral without much damage to the dragon herself.

"...you see the reason why the people of this planet suffer is because I was just trying to help the dragons....that's why I'm here rectifying it."

As they mad it back to the ship the Trandoshan was just starting to apply repairs to the ship.
"Theere you areee.... I was wondering what happened... where is the dragon? "

Well, admittedly he was certainly surprised to hear that the other individual had any connection to the Yuuzhan Vong, but it also sounded like he was someone who was truly trying to correct past mistakes and that sounded noble of him. Torvas was a good listener, perhaps driven home by the fact that he would tilt an ear up to the individual that he was listening to as they spoke.

Once they arrived, Torvas looked up toward the Trandoshan, "The dragon is currently...captured."

Eight-Cee, Torvas' police droid, walked forward a bit with a notable motor whine as he did so. Looking toward [member="Break"] before again looking at the Shistavanen, he would have blinked a bit if he didn't have a solid photoreceptor.

"I have maintained the situation here as ordered, Master." The droid then turned toward Break. "I trust you are relatively unharmed considering the situation, good citizen."
