SPECIAL FEATURES
- Infinite range communications, heavily encrypted and very difficult to hack.
- Large storage capacity, with increased storage due to the second, larger dat’gah on her back.
- Surreptitious design makes it easily concealed and all but impossible to detect.
- Wireless display of communications and data via Cyber-Eyes Contacts.
- Can link, via Ozzgil, to regular systems and multi-spectrum communications, essentially uploading to or downloading from regular computers and other systems through rapids connections like any other computer or speaking to you using telepathy on her end yet coming out of the same transceiver you've had in your ship for years!
- Difficult to hack or detect, the encrypted system is not well understood or much known about throughout the galaxy. Ochara’s medical training, studies in biology and genetics, and her interest in cybernetics and prosthetics all combined to make this possible.
- Able to store a vast amount of data, everything from communications records to databases of various worlds, their flora, fauna, and features are kept. Ochara has uploaded information regarding astronavigation, hyperspace lanes, and above all, volume after volume of information about the Force, and those who use it.
- Capable of interfacing with standard machines and communications systems.
- Operated through telepathic link enables command and control function over the computer’s various features at the speed of thought and without detection.
- Displays information and communications using her contacts or other systems.
- Presence of the Ozzgil requires it to feed on natural iron in blood, leading to regular anemic condition that required Ochara to take daily regular supplements to avoid the effects of anemia.
- Initial implant process was painful, and because of her telepathic ability, made all the worse, requiring several weeks to overcome the pain, discomfort, headaches, and nausea that came because it. Significant time was needed to acclimate to using this technology.
- The biots are very durable but if they should be damaged or destroyed, or if they should be removed, their contents would be lost and they would become inactive and useless.
- The cost was very expensive, leaving Ochara nearly broke once she’d paid for them.
- Can only be used by persons with sufficient telepathic abilities, meaning that if Ochara's own abilities were blocked somehow, she would lose availability of this technology until the situation were resolved.
Located on her left wrist, the experimental system was expensive to develop and produce, difficult to construct and implant, and painful to receive. However, in the end, Ochara was quite pleased with herself, having created a piece of biotechnology that would enable her all of the benefits of a wrist computer or comlink, or those of certain types of cybernetics, and yet be far less intrusive, fragile, or detectable / sliceable. It is, as she's fond of saying, "The trick up [her] sleeve!". Telepathic communications capability allows for her to send and receive messages without being overheard and to command and control the Qahsa computer's many functions at the speed of thought without the need for any additional user interface.
This system enables silent two-way communications and interfacing with regular comlinks, arrays, and computers. She can access information telepathically and then have it displayed before her via the HUD in her contact lenses. Still, and this is truly a benefit, even a slicer using a conventional system on the other end will find herself pretty lost when it comes to bio-slicing, and the odds of her success are virtually non-existent.
The biot in her arm provides the main computing power, which is quite considerable, while its larger mate on her spine acts more like a remote external hard-drive or cloud drive, able to house immense amounts of data. As a result, Ochara has a virtual library with her at all times, and can customize the contents to her desires and needs as she wishes!
