Mrrew
Monstercat
- Name: Bindaman
- Designation: Sentient
- Homeworld: Mwezi
- Language: Lugha of various dialects
- Average height of adults: 5'11 - 6'3
- Skin color: Tan, caucasian
- Hair color: Black, brown
- Breathes: Type I atmosphere
- Strengths:
- Long-lived: Due to the steady diet consisting of large amounts of Mwani, Binadamans are compartivly long-lived, with life spans of up to 200 years. Although, if they were to stop eating Mwani, their life-span would be cut in half.
- Strong immune system: Also due to their steady diet of Mwani, Binadamans have amazingly strong immune systems. Although, as with the longjevity. if a Binadaman were to be cut off from Mwani, they would suffer fomr a significant decrease in the power of their immune system.
- Strong eyes: To cope with the long dark seasons of their home moon, Binadamans have developed extremely good eyesight, and can see clearly in very low light.
- Weaknesses:
- Weak bones and muscle: Compared to humans, Binadamans have fairly weak muscles and bones due to the low-gravity of their home moon. This isin't to much of an issue on Mwezi, but if a Binadaman wass to leave the moon he would need extensive training constantly to keep himself healthy.
- Compartivly weak hearts: Also, due to the lower gravity of Mwezi, Binadamans have weak hearts and are prone to heart issues. This is ecpeically so if a Binadaman were to go off-moon, where his or her heart would have to work harder.
- Weak joints: Like the two above mentioned weaknesses, this is due to Mwezi's low gravity enviroment. As they need to work less then in several other species, Binadaman's joints are weaker and are prone to artheritis. If the Binadimans were to leave Mwezi, they would need extensive training in order to keep themselves healthy.
- Distinctions: They look almost exactly like base-line humans, other then being taller and frailer.
- Average Lifespan: 180-200 years with Mwani, 80-100 years without Mwani.
- Races: Situians, Changans, Kisiwans, Eastern. Kisiwan Binadamans are known to have both darker hair, and skin, while the mainland Binadamans all look more or less similiar, through the countries, varying only in cultural differences, and nationalities.
- Estimated Population: 200 million on Mwezi.
- Diet: All vegetarian diet, based around various plants and foods. Mwani is a major staple.
- Communication: Speech.
- Culture:
General culture & Society: Binadaman society greatly differs from country to country, with Situ being a fairly rich and happy country in which upper-class Situans enjoy virtually all possible amnemeties, and even lower-class natives of the country enjoying more luxuries then planets such as Tatooine. On the other end of the spectrum, are countries such as Irshirini and Arobaini, led by dictators. These countries have oppressed and unhappy natives, often treated more like slaves then anything else. More on each countries’ individual societies are listed below.
Situ is the largest country on the moon, and the richest country due to it being the only place on the moon where DAWA UA grows. Living off it’s exports of foodstuff from the jungles, DAWA UA, and freshwater to desert nations, Situ’s economony is booming. This allows it’s people to enjoy a fairly comfortable lifestyle, which secures the countrie’s title as the happiniest nation on the moon, as well. Lastly, it’s also second to only Kisiwa in it’s scientific achievements, which make it’s military something to be feared, as well.
Changa is a country known for it’s extensive factories, producing just about anything needed on the planet, and exporting it all over. Duee to it’s extensive exports, it’s the second richest country on the moon.
Kisiwa is the country built on the massive island in the middle of Mwezi’s oceans, known to be the most scientifically advanced country on the moon. Due to this, they have also become fairly wealthy by building and exporting all manners of technology to the other countries of the moon. Also due to their technological advancements, Kisiwa has the second most powerful military on the moon.
The largest of the minor countries on Mwezi, and the largest dictatorship, Irshirnii stabilizes it’s fragile economy with the sales of oil, which is found in vast quantities there.
Thelathini is the second smallest country on the planet, and one of two with large amounts of oil, which it sells to keep itself afloat.
The smallest country is Arobaini, and the least developed. Although it has extensive amounts of precious metals unlike any other country on the planet, it’s current dictator squanders the wealthy on his massive palace and personal items, as well as mercenaries to act as his enforcers and guards. This leaves the country extremely poor.
Art: Art is not a widely practiced thing on Mwezi, most Binadamans see it as a waste of time.
Sports: There is one widely popular sport on the moon, having highly paid players, and large fanbases. The first and most popular of the two is Mpira. The rules of Mpira are fairly simple, there are two teams of eight who play on a long field with a goal at one end. Each team member has a long wooden bat, in which they use to whack four differently sized balls in to the other’s goal, or to defend their own goal from the balls. Depending on the size of the ball, the team gets a certain amount of points for each time it find it’s way in to the oppenan’t goal, with the largest ball, called the Kubwipira, being worth one hundred points, and the smallest being worth ten. Obviously, it is much easier for the defenders to avoid the largest balls getting in to their goal, which explains why it is worth more. Situ, Changa, Kisiwa, and Irshirini all have Mpira teams, and a season starts every “year”, lasting one dark seasons, and one light season, on the Moon.
Millitary: The militaries of each country greatly differs, with the east countries being much more warmongering, and the larger countries being much more peaceful. The eastern millitaries, despite being used much more, and generally meager compared to the larger nations', consiting mainly of foot soldiers and the occasional large vehicle. Changa's millitary emphisizes greatly on ground warefare as well, with vast legions of tanks, but also dabbles heavily in naval combat. Situ, on the other hand, has a very well rounded millitary, with equaly large and powerful branches in naval, air, and ground forces. Lastly, Kisiwa emphisizes ghreatly on it's naval technologies, epceiclaly it's massive warships.
Religion: The Binadamans are not a highly religious people, although some- mainly those in Arobaini and Thelathini- believe in a god named Mungu, who sent the first Binadamans to Mwezi, and had his league of servants- called Malaika- raise the first Binadamans. They believe that Mungu will one day return to the moon, and wipe all evil off of it, to send a new race of his creations there, and begin anew. Most Binadamans find this religion, and all others, foolish- and disregard it as myth.
- Technology level: The Binadamans are far behind the rest of the galaxy in terms of technology, having only recently developed close-range space flight, which has no hyperspace and can not go anywhere near light speed. They have, however, developed several technologies only a few notches below standard, such as satellites which they have deployed in the orbit of their moon, which have a range of purposes from communication, to imagery, to survailence, to aiming missiles. For transportation, they have ground-based cars that run on oil found in the east desert, as well as larger vehicles. Their space travel is greatly limited, and consists of large shuttles propelled past the atmosphere by massive engines, with no form of artificial gravity. Binadamans have even managed to land on Heklor with these machines, but any attempts to colonize the planet ultimately failed.
- General behavior: Binadamans are known to be fairly resourceful, as is shown by the fact that they literally founded several nations from a single shipwreck, as well as the reverse engineering that resulted in much of the planet's technology. The vast majority of Binadamans are also extremely practical, in where they won't invest much time in things that waste time, and will rarely do things that do not benifit them directly. This may cause them to come across as selfish, but that's simply the way they think; only do something if it needs to be done. This results in the Binadaman culture having little-to-no interest in most recreational acitivites, or art. Although, oddly, this does not damper the moon-wide popularity of Mpira.
- History: 2,942 BBY: Humans shipwreck on Mwezi, with no form of contacting help, while also unwittingly spreading a flu to the Mgena population of the moon, which ultimately cuases their extinction.
2,941 BBY: With no engineers or scientists on the ship, the humans find that they must survive as ancient sentients did, although they also scavenge Mgena technology from their outposts. This leads them to begin to speak the Mgena’s language, as children are taught from the scavenged bits and pieces.
2,937 BBY: With most bits and pieces of Mgena technology destroyed or broken by now, the humans and their children begin to live like ancient sentients once did, scavenging food from the Moon’s jungles,
2,700 BBY: By now, the descendants of the humans (Who call themselves Binadamans) have established their own small small city in the jungles of Mwezi, and have begun a feudal society.
2,378 BBY: A small civil war has broken out among the Binadamans, between several groups.
2,373 BBY: The civil war ends with the Binadamans splintering in to four groups, which go off to colonize the moon in different directions. One group went west of the jungle, one east, one went across the ocean, and one stayed in the jungles.
2,339 BBY: By now, four separate countries- Situ, Changa, Kisiwa, and Magha have been formed.
2300 BBY: The countries sign a agreement of peace between the nations.
2295 BBY: The nations expand across the moon peacefully. No notable Moon-wide occurances happen for several hundred years.
1329 BBY: A massive war sparks between Changa and Kisiwa
1289 BBY: The long and violent war ends with Changa and Kisiwa signing peace treaties.
1200 BBY: Technology on the planet continues to develop, and no more notable planet-wide events happen for several generations.
930 BBY: A civil war occurs in Magha, between the south of the country, and the north.
926 BBY: The civil war ends with Magha breaking in to two countries, Irshirini and Mshindwa.
920 BBY: Irshirini and Mshindwa continue to have bad relations for generations afterwards.
458 BBY: Rodian explorers land on Mwezi, in Situ, and are quickly captured, labeled threats to Mwezi. The other countries are not informed, and the rodians are locked in a facility to be studied deep in the jungles of Situ.
457 BBY: More rodians, in search of the last party, land on Mwezi- this time on Kisiwa. A similer occurance happens, and they too are locked away- their ship taken by Kisiwan scientists to study.
443 BBY: Although they aren’t able to make technology anywhere near on par with the Rodian’s ship, Kisiwan scientists begin to produce a range of new technology which causes the country to be the technology capital of the moon.
300 BBY: Over the course of years, every few generations aliens show up on the moon, and are quickly captured. Rumors and stories of other-wordly creatures are spread throughout the moon through myth, legend, and entertainment.
287 BBY: Aliens deem exploring Mwezi a failure, as all explorers sent their have dissipeared.
208 BBY: All contact with off-world species and aliens are kept unknown to the public, and the goverments of Mwezi continuet o experiment on any found specimins. Kisiwa creates an extensive task force to deal with any alien technology or species found, and to keep the public from discovering any.
202 BBY: The other countries of Mwezi soon follow suite.
1 BBY: The moon continues to progress, and develop, especially Kisiwa as they continue to attempt to reverse engineer alien technology.
683 ABY: Refugees from the Gulag plague land on Mwezi, in Changa, who are of course quickly captured.
684 ABY: The gulag plague spreads like wildfire through the planet, and Changa is blamed for the “biological weapon”
680 ABY: A war starts when Situ attacks Changa to try and end the ‘biological weapon’
660 ABY: Kisiwan scientists find a treatment method for the plague involving Mwani, and Situ pulls out of Changa.
760 ABY: By now, the Gulag plague is only a minor problem on the planet.
800 ABY: Another civil war wracks Mshinidwa, as terrorists rise.
812 ABY: Mshinidwa breaks in to two countries, Thelathini and Arobaini.
830 ABY: Kisiwa develops close range space travel, and launches the first Binadaman in space.
831 ABY: Situ and Changa soon follow suite.
836 ABY: The Binadamans attempt to form a colony on Heklor, but contact is lost quickly.
(TL;DR: Humans crashed on the moon, they formed their own society, they became a near-human race called Binadamans, they captured any aliens that landed on the moon and made area 51s, they recently disovered the same kind of space travel we have irl)
- Notable Player-Characters: None, as of yet.
- Intent: To create the species of Heklor, and to create a 'what if earth humans are part of the star wars galaxy'. I imagine this is something like what would happen.
Also to create a unique near-human species for Chaos.
