Ultimatum
Duranium Lord
Is reality only that which is felt through one of the many sense?
Ultimatum was quiet. It was a rare day on Mustafar in which there was simple silence. He wondered if it was only because of the most recent attempt at usurping him. Did the people care? He doubted it, more than likely the people simply were not having many problems at the moment. He wondered why. He had no plans, having rebuilt Legion he had no idea what to build. He knew he would have to find out who had attempted to end him. Unfortunately he had no leads on the man and whoever he was he had covered his tracks impeccably. Those pirates had had nothing on him. What luck that an enemy should appear who was equal to Ultimatum, at a point when he was having enough difficulties already. It was possibly ironic that it wouldn't be a single great enemy that would defeat him, but a number of lesser ones.Of course, this was all theoretical, he wasn't defeated yet and he still held enough power to deal with his enemies. The question was that of whether his enemies were prepared for it. They appeared to be quite powerful. At least, that last one had been. He wondered if the man would ever resurface and try to take down Ultimatum again. He wondered if the man had had a source within Ultimatum's government. Were there parasites beyond his ability to notice? That one that a Sith had notified him of was dead, long ago. Where one part of illness was there also would be more. If he had one turned man, what was to say there were not more?
That was when it dawned on him. There was disease within Mustafar, it was hidden within the hearts of the organics. It was the exact same disease that he had seen so many years before. It was the same sort of thing that had ruined his original master, an organic greed. It seemed to be a base characteristic of the organics, they always seemed to fall for greed. What was it in them that caused this base flaw? Certainly this evolutionary hypothesis was proven incorrect by that sole quality. If one looked at early animals there was no greed. Where did it come from then? After all the hypothesis leaves no room for traits to suddenly appear. Everything had to come from something. Where did these failures come from?
Perhaps then he should play their game. Forget starships, forget weapons of large proportions, forget even the droid bodies. They wanted to play as parasites, he would call and surpass them. They could try to hide, but he would find them. First though, as always, he had to set up work. The mechanisms made for constructing droid parts were far too large. They weren't precise enough. He would have to add to the facility, not add but change some of the rooms' intended purposes. He had far too many visitor rooms, he had never had more than one organic here at a time.
Thus began work towards the forces beyond the sight of eyes.
