DESCRIPTION
Bes’shukur, the Iron Breaker is the weapon of Ijaat Mereel, forged by Draco Vereen with his assistance during the Battle of Ruusan deep within the Apex of the Valley of the Jedi. The pair of blacksmiths found each other on opposite sides during the battle, and instead of fighting to the death, decided to test each other’s skills through other means. The pair took part in a duel of hammers and tongs, forging against one another. When all was said in done, Bes’shukur, Draco’s master-piece was claimed by Ijaat Mereel, who dubbed his opponent the victor, while Draco took Ijaat’s work and dubbed the old smith the victor.

The hammer is simple, a long slender half comfortable for one’s hands with a knob at the base for counter-balance and striking, and a hammer head at the top with spike on one side, striking surface on the other. Crafted from alchemically altered and Force Imbued Mandalorian Steel, the weapon is heavier than most, and durable. It bears ancient Mandalorian symbols upon the head, making up the only real ornamentation the weapon bears. Outwardly, it appears quite plain, built for functionality. It has been aligned through the Force to ensure its strength, and it radiates that strength and reliability, similar to its master. During its crafting, the weapon made the trip into the Netherworld, where it was used to defeat several specters of ancient Sith, and quenched in the ichor of that place. In the hands of Ijaat, it doubles as a forging maul as well as a lethal weapon.

What makes the weapon unique is the Force imbuement that went into its crafting, along with slight Alchemical alteration, the use of Art of the Small to properly align the grain to Ijaat's fancy, and the minor knowledge of Jal Shey imbuement the pair had at the time. Set with a Dantari crystal within the steel, it acts as a focus for Ijaat’s abilities, channeling his Force power through it. This allows him to use less focus and energy than would otherwise be required, though has little augmentation of his power. The Dantari crystal aids him in recovering lost Force energy and spent power, recovering quicker, and reducing the strain of using the Force on his body. When the head of the hammer strikes something solid, it releases a telekinetic shock, much like a power hammer, caused by its Force Imbuement. This shock is comparable to how hard the hammer is swung and with how much kinetic force the head strikes an object with, but it is capable of fracturing armor plates, breaking bones, and damaging internal organs if used correctly, just like a power hammer is capable of.

Strengths:
  • Blunt Force: Its a hammer and excels in delivering enormous blunt force trauma. Not only that, but the hammer delivers a powerful kinetic shock when it strikes, able to damage internal organs, fracture armor, and break bones if used correctly and striking the right spot.
  • Focus: The Hammer acts as a focus for the Force Abilities of Ijaat Mereel, having been bonded to him. While it doesn’t make him extremely powerful, it allows him to make better use of his abilities, recover quicker from expending Force energy, and reduce the risk of Force Overload.
Weaknesses:
  • Big and Heavy: The hammer of the Iron Father is large and heavy, intended for two handed use
  • Small Striking Surface: Unlike a sword, or even an axe, a hammer has a very small striking surface. Additionally, only the striking head of the hammer delivers its Force-Imbued kinetic shock.
  • Null Fields: If within an Ysalamiri Field or other Force Nullification field, the hammers attributes cease working. Other than its lightsaber resistance, it is nothing special.
Special Features:
  • Force Imbued
  • Lightsaber Resistant
