Wrist-Mounted Net Launcher
SPECIAL FEATURESWrist-Mounted Net Launcher
- Modular Net Canisters: the launcher comes with three standard net canister types
- Stokhli Spray: This canister operates by shooting a spraynet; a fine spray-like mist of semisolid tendrils of thin translucent material. On contact, the tendrils hardened, and wraps around the target, immobilizing the creature or person, and delivered a powerful shocking charge. The range is much more limited than a standard spraystick and will only reach up to 20 meters. The net can be preset to a certain shock intensity before launching, with an option to dial it up or down afterward using the launcher or a helmet-linked control. The spraymist solution is resistant to most solvents, and it even exhibits considerable resistance to since it continuously re-forms until hitting its target.
- Phrik Monofilament Net: This canister operates by shooting out a monofilament net that expands on launch and once wrapped around a target will begin to constrict automatically, potentially cutting whatever is trapped inside with the hideously sharp monofilament wires. The wires are constructed from phrik, one of the strongest materials in the galaxy, and consequently resistant to lightsabers. The wires are also coated in Devaronian blood-poison, which can cause excruciating, debilitating pain upon mere contact with skin and is known to worsen once it enters the blood stream through a cut.
- Stun Net: The last canister option shoots a stun net of standard fiber cord that can deliver a much more powerful shock than the Stokhli Spray, capable of taking down a Gundark and potentially killing a human at maximum setting.
- Lightsaber Resistant: The phrik monofilament net is lightsaber resistant, the stokhli stick has some resistance simply from the fact it is initially spray at first, but the stun net does not.
- Modular Ammunition Type
- Quite short range compared to the original net launchers this model is based upon.
- Single shot use means a more significant reload time compared to the original net launcher models.
The Wrist-Mounted Net Launcher seeks to combine the capabilities of various net launching guns on the market into a net launching device compatible with standard Mandalorian vambraces. It can only fire one net canister at a time and must be manually reloaded after every shot. However, what it lacks in range and ammunition capacity, compared to other launchers from Golan Arms and Conner Ship Systems, it makes up for in modularity.
