- Enhanced Healing Ability: The Lightside crystal within the weapon enhances the user's ability to use the Force to conduct light side healing. Their body's natural healing is also slightly enhanced, and can be further supplemented with meditation. This effect is once more enhanced by the imbuement of the weapon itself, drawing out the crystal's potential.
- Bifurcating Cyclical-Ignition Pulse: The inclusion of this feature allows the weapon to be ignited underwater, or otherwise submerged without disengaging.
- Lightsaber: Being a lightsaber, it can cut through many materials with relative ease, deflect blaster bolts, and catch Force Lightning, as any normal lightsaber could.
- Split-Saber Being a Split-Saber, the weapons are normally carried separate to use as individual weapons. However if the situation calls for it, Auburn can combine the two weapons at the hilt to form a saberstaff.
- Darkside No-No: Darksiders who lack a significant enough light are unable to hold onto this weapon without it being repulsed from their hands.
- Songsteel: The hilt is made of resistant metal, and able to catch lightsaber blades without being cut through.
- Rule of Pretty: Iridescent Blade. That's fething gorgeous.
- Cortosis: While other Resistant materials can catch the blade, cortosis will completely shut off the lightsaber.
- Unable to be Hidden: Due to the construction consisting of Songsteel, the weapon is unable to be hidden due to the luminescent metal.
- Beacon in the Force: Further still, beyond being a visibly shiny weapon the weapon's imbument makes it a Beacon, and thus shine out through the Force and make its presence that much more evident to anyone able to perceive it in such a fashion.
After quite the time with Darlyn, Auburn finally relented to the construction of a Lightsaber, using two of her most sacred crystals, but only after Darlyn too found his own to create his new weapon alongside hers. Once found, the two began collecting the components, under the tutelage of Darlyn insuring each piece made for their weapons would be perfectly formed and completely suited to constructing their weapon hilts. Together they created the hilts, the casings at least, though spent time apart to create their own, unique ornamentation.
For Auburn, this meant many hours etching along the entire saber's length, creating the ornate swirls and subtle color differentials that would make this weapon visually a masterwork for her people. Afterwards, she rejoined with Darlyn, and crafted the inner workings under his guidance, ensuring each part was put into place and wouldn't blow up in her face. Once this detail was squared away, she set two of her people's crystals into the weapon, creating the first lightsaber her people had ever constructed. While her beloved finished his own weapon, she spent the time imbuing her weapon with the Light, so as to further supplement her crystals' healing abilities.
When at last they turned the weapons on, her weapons blades shone with an iridescent light, filling her with pride for what they had achieved, together.
