STRENGTHS

Soldier
He is trained to the exacting standards of the First Order, going through both basic infantry training and advanced armor schools. This allows him to serve as light scout armor, heavy cavalry, or alongside the Stormtrooper Corps should the need arise. Quite literally fighting fit, he's been honed to the necessary killing edge that muscle memory of advanced instruction provide.

Armored Heart
When you're locked in a metal coffin with a few other men, you learn quickly to tolerate foibles and annoyances that would otherwise make you hate them. Survival depends on the man next to you, perhaps moreso than in the direct lightfights common in the Stormtroopers. If just one man makes a mistake, the whole crew is toast. That means leadership is a must, as is trust and discipline. There is no compromise - there is only the objective, and following orders. It's these innate characteristics that have given him the role of tank commander so young.

WEAKNESSES

No Idea
He's not an imaginative man, nor is he an innovator. He's a soldier, and that makes him task oriented. You give him the order, he sees it through. Don't expect him to display initiative. He'd sooner accept a suboptimal situation than force a change.

Xenophobic Upbringing
His family has served the Empire in one way or another through countless iterations. While more open minded than his parents, he'll still get caught ignoring or underestimating aliens and their ideas simply because they aren't human.

APPEARANCE

Military fit. It's the best way to describe him. He's never quite filled out from when he was in training, so he's got a sharply narrow waist that accentuates naturally broad shoulders, often leaving clothes poorly fit for his frame. With his hair often buzzed short, the only thing clear is that it's dark, not light. His eyes are the shade of jasper, both bright and dark depending on the way the light catches them.

Often, he'll be found in fatigues, leaving him rather nondescript - down to the neutral set of his face so common among the Imperial Military. The sharp ridges of his cheekbones overhang boyish cheeks, lending him a look that fluctuates between teenager and adult depending on what he's wearing and who he's with. His lower lip is fuller than the upper, and it's not uncommon to find him speaking to his men, eyes on the ground, teeth sunk into the lip pensively as he considers the situation they're in.

BIOGRAPHY

Born on Kuat, Bellam is keenly aware of his role in the great machine that is the First Order Army. The ability to work - and even excel - in a hierarchical system was ingrained in him from a young age. While his family were nondescript, they made sure their son was instilled with the lessons of the Empire and the fortune they'd brought to Kuat over the years. While the Republic had done the same, initially, they had evolved into the Empire and were thus now the rightful heirs to the galaxy. This ideology is carried with him to this day.

While initially working as a shipbreaker to help the family survive, he eventually made his way to First Order space in order to enlist the first occasion he got. While initially tapped for placement in the Stormtrooper Corps given his ideology, he quickly showed exceptional leadership ability during training. Able to deal with and guide all but the most extreme personalities, he stood out for his ability to mesh with others than to harshly bend them to his will. Rather than tap him as a squad leader, he was moved into the armored battalions where he could form a cohesive entity out of the varying personalities within a tank. This necessitated a rapid rise to Staff Sergeant, as it wouldn't work having everyone in the tank be the same rank.
