Power is better when it is yours
Zeth was currently in the sith temples of Coruscant. He had just returned from his first mission collecting his lightsaber crystal. But, he actually got a little more then just one. Right now, he had ten lava crystals, and he wasn't going to waste them. He knew he couldn't construct his own lightsaber till his master told him he could, but since he had time, why not spend it learning more about the crystals. From his own understanding, not much research had been done on them, so he figured that since he had some down time, why not work on studying them himself.
He was currently looking up information about the lava crystal in lightsabers and what effect they had on the blade. It seemed that the crystal wasn't stable enough to project a normal blade, but actually produced a lava blade. Interesting. From his understanding then, the crystal actually allowed the lightsaber then to produce lava, within the saber form sure, for an almost unlimited amount of time, until the battery had to switched. He was intrigued by this, so if the crystal could produce lava in a saber form, could it possibly produce lava outside of the lightsaber? It seemed possible. And what an interesting idea it would be, constructing weapons and other such gadgets that could produce lava! And all they needed was a power source to really get started. The ideas were staggering. A whole new type of weapon system. And it was just sitting there, waiting to be discovered.
Of course, this wasn't something that could just be built. Experimentation, trials, lots of research would all be needed to try and create the things he was thinking of. But still, while people had heat resistant suits, who could really prepare for being drenched in direct lava? Not many could or would expect that. There were so many applications, he could make himself into an expert in lava warfare. No one would be able to stop him. On top of all that, he was also a Sith. Oh, he couldn't wait to get started.
