Beast Hunt

"No, just me, it didn't always use to be like that, but I'm pretty sure my old partner is doing whatever with the Silver Jedi"

To be quite honest, Xiarr didn't know what really happened to his old partner. At one moment he was with the Silver Jedi, then the next he had settled down on Lothal. He could now be hunting down Sith for all he knew.

"It's actually quite an interesting story, he was unique, as his kind didn't usually become Jedi."

Xiarr kept the details vague, as he didn't want to reveal too much to someone he basically just met, but then again that was probably all thrown out the window now. The droid then said that they go to Sullust for supplies, which wouldn't be that bad until he realized it was the capital of a band of murders that pretend to be doing good.

"Okay, but just be aware that I don't trust the Galactic Alliance."

When they finally reached the ship, the ramp into the ship fell down, and Xiarr walked in. The ship was a Defender-class light corvette, a relic from the days of the old Republic.

([member="Nriatt"] Yeah sure, this is an open thread after all)

Nriatt

"Smells like fresh lasers in the morning."
Nriatt is standing above a dune, his clothes full of sand. He began to scream loudly and do short, rapid jumps, attempting to make them let him as he was trying to get a good hunt, however the place only had a bunch of smugglers and merchants, making it hard for him to earn money and well, it had TWO SUNS, also known as a faster death, which wasn't part of his current plans as a bounty hunter.

"DID I JUST HEAR MONSTER HUNTING!?! YEAHHHHHHH!!!"

He almost fell of exhaustion as he was carrying his malfunctioning blaster rifle for hours while wandering on the vast dunes almost being MOLTEN TO DEATH BY THE SUNS.

"Maybe we will come across your old partner soon, we will be probably crossing into Silvers territory in the next jobs."

HK pointed out as they headed towards Xiarr's ship,

"And I hate to break it to you like that, but I am part of the Alliance, or at least my dominion is, for me it is more marriage of convenience, I do not really hold strong loyalties to any particular government, as long as they fight the Sith I will battle alongside them. The Alliance, well I am wary of them, they do not impose on the planets who join them, so a lot of time they stay out of my business, but there is also a lot of politics with the planets setting up deals between themselves and trying to improve their own standing."

The machine explained, in fact his planet joined the Alliance the same day Atrisian incident happened, which would later give birth to the Dominion.

Once they reached Xiarr's corvette HK would look over it,

"Is this a replica?"

The machine asked hopefully, looking to Xiarr,

"Because the last time I have seen one of those it was millenniums ago, they are older than some Force-user orders."

[member="Nriatt"],

HK's question would be interrupted when they were joined by Nriatt screaming towards them, apparently being cooked by the planet's temperature,

"For Force's sake, we were almost off of this planet."

The droid turned around and muttered to Xiarr quietly,

"Chit, it is a Gen'Dai."

Perhaps that would tell Xiarr something about them, perhaps not, the droid himself did not really trust their kind, not only due to their regenerative properties, but also because these beings hardly got older without going even more insane than the ancient machine in the process.

HK looked to Xiarr before turning back to Nriatt,

"Well alright, tell us your backstory and why we should hire you."

The machine rolled his hand to motion for Nriatt to hurry up,

"And do so before every moisture farmer in the area with a Jedi father tries to tag along to get off of this rock and start some grand quest."

It was unlikely that they would bump into his old partner, but nonetheless, it was an interesting thought. Xiarr was surprised to hear that the droid was part of the Alliance, or at least is somewhat associated with them. Either way, it wasn't the worst thing in the galaxy, it would just mean easier travel, right? "Yes, I do suppose that the benefits do outway the cons, with moral conditions aside anyway."

When they reached Xiarr's ship Xiarr knew that the droid would show some form of nostalgia, since he is an HK unit after all. "No, this is, in fact, the-" Xiarr would be interrupted by someone shouting at them. Xiarr turned around to see a heavily armored figure, and the droid told him that it was a Gen'dai. Great. Gen'dai we're some of the vilest creatures in the galaxy, and they are also a pain to kill, and by pain to kill you would literally have to ram them into a star in order to do the job. Plus, it would just decrease the number of credits they would earn. The droid asked that the Gen'dai tell them his backstory and why they should have him tag along. It was likely going to be a no from Xiarr, but he would have to wait in order to make up his mind.

Nriatt

"Smells like fresh lasers in the morning."
Nriatt stopped jumping and began to think, seeking for the memories lost in the past and the experiences he lived through the years.

"I am not here to harm, i don't have a ship and i am a bounty hunter, no one has money here so i guess i will try to have some fun monster hunting, i guess."

He began to walk closer to them so slowy it looked like he was almost sleeping. Well, he didn't exactly trust humans that much as his planet was blown up long ago by the Sith Empire, but he tried to look calm while interacting with the human and the droid.

"My backstory is uh... I was happy living in my beautiful planet but it got exploded and i am now running around doing my job to live, i guess. You can even have my blaster so you don't think that i am going to shoot you, and it's switching mechanism is broken, meaning i can't get it off the stun setting."

HK stayed silent, letting Nriatt say his piece,

"Well a stun blaster is not going to be much use fighting what we are hunting. Give us a second to talk this over."

Looking to [member="Xiarr Sair"] he would motion him aside a bit so they could have some more privacy, hushing his voice as he leaned in, turning away from Nriatt,

"What do you think? Because I met some Gen'Dai in my life, and this one does not seem to be as nuts as the rest of them, usually they would start throwing crates around or something by now."

If the Gen'Dai's blaster was only going to be on stun, which Xiarr found hard and too convenient to be believed, he could still kill them by using his body which Gen'Dai are famous for, and the droid also did bring up a valid point, if his blaster was only on stun he couldn't really capture anything without damaging it or killing it. The droid then motioned him aside to discuss the situation in private. "Well, I suppose we'll let him come along for the first hunt, if he proves useful we'll keep him, if not we'll dump at the nearest spaceport or the nearest airlock, I couldn't care less truth be told."

"Well that is pretty cold, and that is coming from a droid, perhaps you should rethink your life choices so far. Either way, we can always use him as a body shield once the beast arrives, the regeneration will come useful then."

HK pointed out, leaning away from the huddle and looking to [member="Nriatt"], assuming the Gen'Dai was still there,

"Alright, you can join us for this one, what is your name?"

Nriatt

"Smells like fresh lasers in the morning."
"My name is Nriatt."

The Gen'Dai walked inside the ship thinking about what could happen in the hunt, the possibilities, the changes, well, it might be a fun day for him knowing that the other option was being burried around by waves and waves of sand. He quickly placed the blaster on the ground and pointed at the blaster, it looked like he had good intentions.

"You may have my blaster just in case you don't trust me, and remember that i don't like hibernating so don't abuse my regeneration too much, you know, bad things might happen if i hibernate in the middle of a battle."

"Isn't that a bit hypocritical? If we use him as a meat shield I'd say that's even worse than the vacuum of space."

Xiarr still didn't want the Gen'Dai in his ship, even if his blaster was apparently stuck on stun. When the droid asked for the Gen'Dai's name, he introduced himself as Nriatt. Which reminded Xiarr that he and the droid didn't even know each other's name.

"Right, well my name is Xiarr Sair, and your's is...?"

He turned to the droid, waiting for his response.

"Oh-ho-ho."

HK gave out a mechanical laugh at Nriatt's words, waving the proposal away,

"Do not worry I am far beyond the point where any blaster could harm me."

He said rather sure of himself before looking to Xiarr,

"I would imagine that being in the vacuum of space would be far more unpleasant for you organics than the possibility of perhaps being hit by something to distract it. Either way, my original designation was Hunter-Killer Series 36 Unit 1, but I doubt that name would be able to tell you much."

HK then motioned with his head to the ship,

"Come on, let us leave this planet before every moisture farmer with a Jedi for a father will try to use us as a passage off of this miserable rock."
