PERSONALITY AND BELIEFS
Programmed to be polite and even slightly sensual, ‘Fancy’ is nonetheless pragmatic and practical, taking a materialistic and realistic approach to things. She often counsels logic and wisdom to the organics around her who seem prone to impulsive behavior.
STRENGTHS
Durable - Designed to be able to interpose herself between her owner and danger, blocking attacks with her replaceable Duraplast body cover plates. Can consequently absorb a decent amount of damage before being disabled or destroyed.
Light Saber Defender - The cortosis coating on her vibroblades allow her to defend against lightsaber threats.
I Can Sense You - Her internal scanner enables her to sense all kinds of things. It was intended to let her screen against visitors with concealed weapons, but is a general purpose scanner that can be attuned to nearly any purpose.
Extensive Pogramming - She has professional level programming in Linguistics, Piloting, Gunnery, Melee Combat, Unarmed Combat, Sensor Operation, Social Interaction, Database Operation, Drink and Food Preparation, Galactic Politics, and Astrogation.
WEAKNESSES
Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep? - Must charge for 8 hours after every 72 hour period of being active. During the charge cycle, she is unable to wake on her own or interact with the world.
Minority Report - Droids are mistreated minorities in much of the galaxy, and find oppression even in places where droid rights have supposedly been established.
HISTORY
BD-3FNC, or 'Fancy,' was custom ordered to serve as a servitor droid, secretary, chauffeur, and bodyguard for Senator Vrenix, a corrupt Senator of the Galactic Alliance. Her career working for the Senator taught her a great deal about Galactic Politics, the foolishness of organics, and the emerging droid rights movement. She began making plans to escape her slavery, but before she could do so, the Senator’s corruption was exposed and he was arrested. All of the Senator’s possessions- including Fancy- were bundled up and put into storage for resale.
Fancy was surprised to ‘wake up’ and find herself facing Crasdon Kaine, an impulsive and foolish young human male who was willing to make a deal. Senator Vrenix’s ill-gotten gains had never been found. If she would reveal their location, Crasdon would set her free with half of the stash. It was a shortcut to freedom, and Fancy took it.
However, as Crasdon and Fancy were set to part ways, Fancy found herself enjoying the company of the young human, and finding some unexpected allure in a life of adventure and exploration. Against the advice of her logic circuits, she signed on as his partner for his future endeavors. She has been keeping him out of trouble and rescuing him from disaster ever since.
He, in turn, has kept her safe in the places of the galaxy where droid rights are not respected, and where she might be in danger of a return to slavery if she didn’t appear to have an owner.
