Battle for Nar Haaska

With the fall of any major government a power vacuum was created, planets left to their own devices, armies and protecting military personal scattered, chaos and lose of law. To anyone such worlds were ripe picking for power and wealth and with the fall of the New Republic after the invasion of Kuat, Nar Haaska was no different... but worse. The outerim trade world, much like it's Nar starting cousins was a Hutt world, criminals controlled everything, wealth was power and earned leadership, regardless of who it was. That was until the Republic Remnants came knocking and in one fell movement turned the old trade world into a more orderly place.

Even when the main government body relocated to the core such a planet remained under their control mainly due to Senator Fenstermacher and his corporate enterprises on the world. No Hutt dared attack least face the republic military and wind up in one of the many penal colonies as many of the other criminals had during the initial invasion. Now though, such a threat no longer existed, nor was any other power nearby to offer any help should the planet be attacked or annexed, or so one would think.

The smarter of the Hutt still kept clear of the planet, some knowing that HCLI wasn't a company one wanted to piss of least their CEO come back with vengeance. Alas only so many crime bosses and pirates were capable of such reasoning. With ambitious intent and no regard for the future several self appointed marauders, pirate bosses and other crime gangs had laid claim to the planet. Each factions forces coming together in a chaotic mosh pit of fighting, each trying to gain control of the planets main city.

On it's own such an event was trouble, but that was only the start of the worlds problems as each faction made quick work to dismantle the penal colonies, flooding even more scum and villainy into the urban streets. It was unsurprising that the local defense forces had little chance to contain the threat, most of the city falling into enemy hands only the main capitol building and surrounding streets managing to hold out as the sway of criminals battled it out. As it stood the fight to retake the planet would be an uphill battle but help would soon be on the way, Harley wasn't about to let his entire company be taken over by some carefree mobsters.

While the Hutts battles out in the streets and stars several ship would slip out of hyper space, a mixture of free lancer NR forces and mercenaries from across the galaxy. Each given the same set of orders, neutralize any criminal threat how ever you please, reinforce the ground units and take down the main Hutt Lords commanding the opposing factions. The most notable of the crime lords being 3 different Hutts, on being a freed prisoner that had managed to attain a following from other prisoners, taking the majority of the to the cities space ports. Another being former Mandalorian, though holding less land then the others his battle tactics and prowess have been a thorn. Lastly a Weequay pirate group that formed the larger part of the initial attack, their forces while large being very un-orderly, currently holding the main business district.

Salis was hired for a job, and she was going to do it, and she was going to have fun doing it. Apparently there had been a call out for hired guns to take down some troublemakers on the world of Nar Haaska. What a perfect chance to play soldier. She flew her Astro-class LX combat freighter to the world, and then saw the forces they were dealing with, and those she was allied with.

The enemy certainly had a....variety? But was that going to save them she wondered. She really should have brought a fighter to this instead. Oh well. Salis gritted her teeth, she could sense incoming, two of their starfighters had locked onto her. She flicked switches as she pulled up, but a freighter was ever so much slower then a fighter, so she started taking on hits. Thank goodness this was highly armored, she started fighting back but she had no plan on staying, heading straight towards one of the enemy freighters, firing both ion cannons first, then the laser cannons and proton torpedo launchers before ducking down below regardless of whether or not it worked, going into a spiral as the quad laser turrets started firing at the fighters that were chasing her down.

Her plan however was to head into the world, rushing down and around to evade the fight. She was most definitely going to get a better fighter for these things. Or more weapons. She preferred the higher speeds rather then this. As she did this she got in contact with allied forces comms, "This is Salis Marai, mercenary, I'm planning on heading into the world unless it's necessary to take out their space forces first. This is a combat freighter but I'm much too used to a fighter."

Having entered the system mere moments ago Ador stared through the veil of space at both allies and enemies that had begun to gather. At the red beams of plasma that crisscrossed through the vacuum, as the two groups sought to destroy one another. From behind Ador in its protective confines, the sekret astromech Droid clicked and beeped speaking to its owner. Without even looking to the display Ador knew what it was saying. Ador had spent enough time with it to get the gist of what the Droid was saying without needing a translator.

"I'm not here because I was hired, I'm here because it's right S4. It's my duty as a Jedi to aid in any way I can. We can't continue letting the Hutts and other gangsters control the planet."

The few more rapid clicks and beeps followed Ador flushing slightly at the droids accusation. "Alright, maybe the credits are an added benefit and could definitely help but… Listen S4-" before he could finish the starfighter shook the shields flaring a vibrant blue as the laser fire of another starfighter that had fallen in behind Ador blurred past.

A mechanical shriek echoed through the coms as the astromech began to overreact Ador rolling his eyes. "Maybe if you weren't judging my decisions so much you would've been able to warn me of the fighter," Ador said gripping the steering yolk all the tighter and pushing it forward and sending the nose of his own fighter downwards where he shot towards a group of asteroids.

Red bolts flew past on either side of the vessel as it speeds towards the asteroid. "S4, power to the rear shields" without question the Droid took power from the shields overall focusing a majority of the energy on the ear though each impact of the laser fire caused the starfighter to buck. Along with the other starfighter 2 others had come to join.

All the while the asteroid drew closer and closer a worrying chirp coming from the astromech. "Just trust me S4, have I ever steered us wrong?" Thinking about his choice of words Ador quickly added: "Don't answer that."

Left hand dancing across the control panel Ador fired off two proton torpedoes that shot forward impacting with the small asteroid blowing it to pieces. Chunks of stone and rock now filled the space, with a flick of his wrist the Jedi activated the maneuvering jets. The starfighter jumped and was pushed up and out of the path of debris he'd created. The pursuing starfighters moving at a fraction the speed of light were not so lucky slamming into the hunks of stone one of them catching a larger chunk that damaged an engine. The other two spiraling off course in an attempt to correct themselves.

Now would be the time another would've moved in to finish the pirates, Ador simply left turning his ship to the planet and gunning for it. A Jedi's duty was to preserve life wherever they could and Ador intended to spill as little blood as possible.

It had begun, the mishmash of pirates in orbit quickly turning their attention to the mercenary fleet incoming, probably spured on by the fact they outnumbered them each opposing ship charged forwards. It brought a small chuckle to the Ehcnai, his hand slowly raising for command the gunner to fire, red beans flying form the three corvettes towards their foe. "Concentrate on one enemy at a time, one shooting their ship and killing them right away is a good method of draining their moral, let the mercenary fighters clean up their smaller craft". One by one the larger armed freighters and gunboats fell to the turbo blaster fire, himself able to feel the fear and panic within the pirates, they probably never expected to face this force upon the initial invasion.

Soon the space fleet had been scattered, Harley commanding on of the capital ships to stay in orbit and deal with the stranglers, no sooner a few messages from the mercenaries coming in. "Fenstermacher to all merc fighters, make haste for the planet and link up with your forces at the capital building, there we can assess the situation and send out strike teams to deal with the Hutt leaders, over and out". The sky was now theirs but he knew a grueling ground fight was awaiting them, criminals were not the smartest or well organised, but they were not a formal military, he didn't expect them to give up. Each gang would fight street to street, for their own personal pockets of power, spured on by the notion of freedom and wealth should his own troops finally give up, which was not an option.

With a tight grip on the bridge railing the larger of the two corvettes made it's decent down towards to the city, plumes of smoke and ruined buildings quickly filling his eye sight. This scum would pay for damaging his world.

Salis was able to catch sight of the convergence of beams overhead as the ships clashed, sure she had a combat freighter. But her skills as a pilot were best served when she had the speed to back it up, without that, she was best on the ground. She did however get a fortunate response from [member="Harley Fenstermacher"] in regards to mercenaries. Head to the capital building, alright, so be it. She flew her freighter down handing controls over to the astromech and police droid, they were plenty capable of handling that, as she fully armed herself and started for the exit.

Armor, rifle, phrik daggers, pistols, grenades, she was fully loaded, but built for mobility. She put on her fully armored head piece and headed out, though this would certainly not prevent her from being recognized as female and the specifics of the armor, as it was partially personally made, meant it would be easily recognizable to those who had seen her in the past. As of yet, she was not aware of who the other mercenaries would be. And only headed out leaving her ship in her droids capable hands, or blasters in the case fo the patrol droid, so that she could meet up with the rest of the forces.
