Xephirus Cloud
The Echo of Destruction
Zephyrus Cloud wandered Ravelin with a perturbed look on his face. The fireworks overhead distracted the people from the real issues going on in the seedy world below. Governors allowed injustices to be performed regularly on the streets. Morale was high in the city and tankards were low and the drunks were ever prevalent wandering the streets.
"Hey buddy!" Some fool said wrapping his arm around Zephyrus eagerly, to which Zephyr pushed the annoying drunk to the ground by his face. Hatred for the ignorance in these idiot's hearts grew within him. How leisurely they accepted the garbage that was fed to them.
A scream shot out in the darkness, no one paid any mind to it, the fools too busy staring up at the lights whilst what happened in the shadows was far more interesting. Zephyrus took a small step toward the scream... but realized it wasn't his fight.
Another scream for help rang out.
Compelled. Zephyrus Cloud had no stakes... perhaps... just this once he could see.
He ran toward the sounds of a scuffle in the back alley. A human male lay face down on the ground with a large gash in his head. Another human male had a female pinned to a wall at knifepoint. Three other thuggish looking men stood around going through the woman's belongings.
Weakness.... The thought blasted into Zephyr's head like a train. It was so ingrained in his head to let other's fight their own battles, because it would be robbing them of the opportunity to make themselves strong.
A single tear began to roll down the girl's cheek. Zephyrus sighed. In an instant Zephyrus' body was attune with the force, speed and strength surged through him. The tear was at her chin, Zephyrus had slammed the first thug with an elbow to the back of the neck and sending him into a nearby wall. The tear rolled off her chin and began to fall to the floor, the second thug had a boot in his temple jarring his brain instantly blacking him out. The tear passed the girl's knee, the third thug reached for his gun a moment too late as a blast of force energy sent him skyward, crashing through an upper level window. The tear hit the floor and so did the three thugs only the one that had her at knifepoint remained.
He spun the girl around and held the knife to her throat and took a good look at Zephyrus Cloud. Zephyr's eyes glowed a sickening red-yellow. This was not a fight the mugger had wanted. He pushed the girl towards Zephyr fleeing for his own safety. In a moment he too was on the floor. Zephyrus had charged him and punched the mugger in the back of the head, but something in Zephyrus had changed from the start of the onslaught. Zephyrus was enjoying himself now. Hard fists rained down on the mugger.... again..... and again..... and again.... and again.... and again. It was turning into a very ugly, very bloody scene.
