Created by Irina Volkov, the witch of the Dark Lord of the Sith Empire, in order to facilitate the needs of the upper echelons of the Sith Empire, Bastion's Womb is located on the planet of which it was named after. Irina Volkov, the sole permanent fixture in the workshop, produces alchemically treated products by the request of individual Sith and other members of the Empire. Ranging from the most mundane of Sith swords, to intricate pendants designed to amplify the fear felt by those around it, the art of material alchemy is a specialty to Bastion's Womb - although its true purpose comes in the form of the sithspawn that are created within its depths.
Though Irina has already shown her skill in alchemy, both in the form of medicinal herbs and trinkets alike, the workshop was created with the purpose of birthing the twisted and perverse creatures that would act as valuable, yet expendable, units in the Empire's army. Twisting the very nature of life itself and altering, as well as wholly creating new, creatures into the sithspawn that the galaxy has feared for millennia was the primary purpose for its existence. Biological alchemy, as the creation of sithspawn would be called, is still alchemy, but is still different enough from the standard fare for it to be differentiated from when discussing the workshop.
RATIONALE
Freed from slavery by the Dark Lord of the Sith himself, Irina Volkov swore her obedience to Kaine Zambrano with an oath of blood. After a lengthy ritual, one which the Sith Lord perhaps only gained an inkling of an understanding of, the Dark Lord gave the witch a tour of his palace on Panatha, eventually granting her full access to the facilities on the premises and the aid and funds for any materials she might need to provide both he and his Empire with weapons, armor, and other creations. However, the initial location of this workshop was denied from her during an incursion on Panathan soil by the First Order. Commanded to leave the world behind, taking all that she needed to operate her planned workshop, Irina fled to Bastion, the capital of the Sith Empire, and set up her laboratory there with the blessing of the Dark Lord.
