DESCRIPTION

The Bastion-Pattern Kad'au is a pair of custom-forged beskar dual-phase saber-tonfa engineered for a Force-sensitive Mandalorian guardian. Built around durability rather than elegance, each weapon combines the crushing utility of a traditional tonfa with a reversible lightsaber emitter system, allowing the wielder to instantly transition between a variable-length primary blade on one end and a fixed defensive shoto blade on the other. The two emitters are mutually exclusive, ensuring the weapon remains optimized for control, precision, and defense rather than overwhelming offense. Forged almost entirely from matte gunmetal beskar with minimal ornamentation, the Bastion reflects Mandalorian practicality in every detail. Its reinforced emitters, overbuilt construction, and military-grade machining allow it to withstand brutal close-quarters combat even with the blades deactivated, functioning as formidable melee weapons in their own right. Powered by twined Durindfire and Sapith crystals, the silver-white blades can extend smoothly from a compact 12-inch shoto on the grip side to a full 36-inch blade extending from the longer end, complementing a defensive fighting style inspired by Soresu. More than a weapon, the Bastion is a symbol of its wielder's oath: to stand between danger and those who cannot defend themselves.
