ADVANCED SYSTEMS
- Battle Analysis Computer
- Tactical Battle Table - A simple Hologram table held on the bridge, it actively uses scanners and sensors, aggressively, to gain all battle read outs of the space around the ship. It immediately loads in all available information automatically, showing the position of fleets, debris, and other objects within the sphere of view. Instead of asking an officer for information, an object can be touched and the screen changes to all relevant information. It acts similar to a ships computer, except it is using hundreds of thousands of scripted algorithms at advanced speeds. Some ship systems can be controlled here, by touch or by voice.
- Advanced Ship-to-Ship Communications - In addition to the Comm Laser, friendly ships under the command of the Bastion-class have their communications systems known, and allows an intrusive and aggressive communications system that can hack into the friendly ships comms if necessary to force communication. This includes the Intercom/Loudspeaker on a ship.
- Advanced Energy Distribution Systems
Strengths:
- Double Front Molecular Shield Energy Distribution System - The power absorption ability of the Molecular Shields was rerouted, allowing enemy energy weapons fire to power the shield itself, strengthening or reinforcing it. However, as the shield is always actively on, the power increase is very temporary.
- Extreme Hangar - The Bastion-class is an invader-style command ship. In addition to its command ability, it boasts fighter and bomber compliments, with an invasion-level force of vehicles and infantry.
- Energy Distribution System - The Molecular Shielding Absorption ability was poorly rerouted due to being uneducated on the Molecular Shield System. Even light, rapid sustained fire for more than 10 minutes can overload the shield. This can also overload ALL shields, causing a system wide shutdown, requiring serious repairs.
- Low Armament - The best this ship boasts is anti-fighter capabilities, and it has few anti-fighter weapons as it is.
Description: The Bastion-class is a model of ship theorized by Eddak Manod as the invader-style ship used as both a carrier and command ships for all fleets, leaving all other ships available for specialized combat roles, and not support roles. These ships would be the spear tip of a fleet, but and the rear-point of said spear, and would handle all invasion operations of foreign planets. The fighter compliment would provide heavy cover to all transports and shuttles leaving to the atmosphere, cover retreats, and also provide support to escape pods if necessary. From pure looks, the systems it boasts seem to make the ship act similar to old Lucrehulk Battleships, to blockade a planet, kill communications on the planet, and provide a major invasion force to take said planet. It also requires the support of a fleet, as it can take any scattered shot from an enemy force, but it can not take sustained fire nor can it dish anything out. Any ship-to-ship battling more or less relies on the power of the bombers currently in its compliment. Its Long-Ranged Turbolaser Cannons aren't even put in place to fight capital ships, but to provide long ranged, away from enemy fire, support fire against smaller ships, such as Corvettes or Frigates.
The Neutralizer will act as Eddak Manods Flagship within GDI, and his Command Ship within CSA, allowing him to provide support to CSA with GDI capabilities. GDI never had a way of long range transport and support before the Bastion-class was put into physical form, as everything else had to use Transport-dedicated Frigate classed ships or smaller, and not a lot could be taken to a CSA frontline so far from GDI home.
