SETTING INFORMATION
  • Structure Name: Pleasure Palaces
  • Classification: Entertainment Establishments
  • Locations: Nar Shaddaa | Sleheyron | Droxu Station
  • Affiliation: Bareesh Kajidic
  • Accessibility: Those looking to have a good time need search no further than the neon signs in Nar Shaddaa, the posters in Sleheyron, the darknet, or their spam folder. The Pleasure Palaces of the Bareesh are open to all those willing to pay the cover charge aka “tribute”, which varies depending on the mood of whatever bouncer happens to be manning the entrance.
  • Security:
    400 Bareesh Retainers
  • 40 Bareesh Bruisers

[*]Description: Each pleasure palace is slightly different, but the two distinct versions are the Nar Shaddaa model - found on ecumenapoli within the Bareesh’s control - and the Sleheyron model - found on planets where slavery is commonplace. The aesthetic also varies. Nar Shaddaa models are typically skyscrapers, while Sleheyron models resemble the round towers common on Nal Hutta.

POINTS OF INTEREST

Membership at a Pleasure Palace comes in three tiers, with Aurodium being the premier tier.
  • Bronzium Members - 100 credits a month.
  • Chromium Members - 1,000 credits a month.
  • Aurodium Members - 10,000 credits a month.

Those who have paid tribute at the door will gain access to the four quarters of the pleasure palace. Just in case any palace-goers forget where they are, the quarters have running lights along the walkways that are their respective colors.

Pink Quarter

The pink quarter is filled with various clubs and “pillow houses” offering a wide selection to sate any fleshly appetite. Aphrodisiacs are for sale at every corner. Famous musicians frequently play at the clubs and cantinas. Bronzium members don’t have to pay the extra covers at the clubs and get a few drinks free. Chromium members get tables to themselves at most of the clubs. However, the profligate aurodium members have VIP access to every club and are offered special services.

Yellow Quarter

Those seeking a journey to a higher plane of enlightenment frequently stop by the yellow quarter, where spice dens can help them on their spiritual path. Bronzium members get free samples at every den. Chromium members get private rooms in every den. Aurodium members are allowed entry to the premier den, which provides spice blends concocted by true artists of the trade. There they can achieve a night, or a week of bliss-filled spiritual ecstasy.

Green Quarter

Here, most of the space is dominated by the Circus Horrificus. People can pay to watch animals and people perform feats that defy the odds, bamboozle the beholder, and leave the crowd in Ooohs and Aaahs. Magicians also put on shows when the circus isn’t performing, but are less popular as Gorba fed the last two to a krayt dragon after suspecting them of being Jedi spies. Bronzium members are guaranteed seats. Chromium members don’t have to pay for tickets and get non-nosebleed seats. Aurodium members get front row seats and can even personally wield the knife, so to speak, for any animal executions.

The second draw of the green quarter is the palace’s zoo amid luscious gardens. The zoo features many rare and exotic species. Within the zoo itself is an aviary where all sorts of befeathered fowl are found.

Blue Quarter

Speaking of fowl, ever wanted to have feathers? Maybe you think scales are in this season? Or could you possibly prefer having your brain chipped so you can access a terminal with just a thought?

Technology thrives in the blue quarter, where every cutting-edge scientist who was denied permission to perform sapient testing in “civilized” space gets to put his or her product out for public use. Gorba believes in the free market.

Here one can find conventional holovid theaters, cybernetic augmentation clinics, biosynthetic emporiums, virtual reality parlors, and insta-clone services. Insta-clone services has grown especially popular in the last month, with the addition of the Murder-Mayhem purchase, where those sick enough to cash in the credits can clone someone - anyone - in minutes and then shoot, stab, whack, or you-name-it the clone right then and there. Truly an experience to behold.

The Godsheart

Named after the sacred pulsar of the Hutts, this extravagant hotel sits at the pinnacle of the palace. It features sweeping views, Hutt-sized beds, and full-service spas. Only Chromium and Aurodium members are allowed. Aurodium members get free rooms.

Slave Quarter

No one is allowed in the slave quarter except authorized security and staff. The slave quarter has special access routes to every quarter, including the Godsheart, and is heavily guarded by Bareesh Retainers and Houk Bruisers.

HISTORICAL INFORMATION

After his father’s death, Gorba refurbished the preexisting palaces of Bareesh on several planets to turn them into profitable ventures. It meant that they were no longer exclusively for Gorba’s use and that he had to bear the disgrace of having non-Hutts flood a familial palace and utilize it for their own pleasure, but so long as the credits flow Gorba permits it.
