- Description: Inspired by Lirka on their first meeting, Hix set the genetics team on the task of creating what he called, Barbarian Rancor. While they are no larger than a typical male bull rancor, they are in large part far more aggressive and brutal than their genetic sibling. Requiring isolated cells due to tendency for fights when aimless, this genetically created species does not shy away from violence in any way.

- General behavior: These genetic creations from Myrkr Farms are the first of the unique line of Rancor Black Market Listings, and it is a unique one. Highly aggressive, these Rancor do not breed as they are produced genetically sterile. They are created in a constant state of pheromone driven rage. Everything is in it's territory, and everything is both food, and a threat to their presence, save for their mother. Those wishing to remain safe from the Barbarian Rancor are advised to put distance between themselves in the form of bunkers, the vacuum of space using a starship, or simply by staying behind the handlers.

Upon securing his team of genetic scientists, and the appropriate equipment, the process of creating a truly terrifying Rancor was begun with a mark of irritation for being called a barbarian. By using a number of genetic markers for increased aggression, these rancor are simply designed to be angry and highly aggressive from birth to the grave. The groundwork had already been laid before them by the existing Rancor, and all it took was the slight modification of gene sequences to make the perfect soldier of the great beasts.Hix to his genetic team/Kaine Australis
Only the initial pair were allowed to remain with their mother, and quickly it was found to be a mistake. The pair was quickly reduced to one, and even that one did not survive long due to injuries sustained fighting to monopolize their mother’s attention. The recording was something of a horrifying sight to most, an educational glance into the possible use of the creatures as the mandate was placed to sterilize that genetic sequence and isolate the structure for further use.
After the initial failure of the pair of prototypes, the process was examined, altered, and rancor babes of this breed specifically isolated and separated into their own cells for even a marginal chance of survival. The longest recorded example of a barbarian rancor surviving in an isolated enclosure, even with special accommodations for basic living was at max, 2 years projected before their aggression simply took a catastrophic turn and they harmed themselves with no outlet for their anger.
Useful data was saved from these failures though, citing that Barbarian rancor skin is significantly resistant to blaster fire, enough that your standard blaster does little more than blemish the surface. An up-scale, or custom blaster may make the Barbarian Rancor notice you, and heavy blasters or laser cannons will for sure garner its attention. Kinetic rounds of simple make and mass production bounce off of the skin, while up-scale and some other munitions may cause limited damage, while higher velocity or rounds capable of punching through armor plating will likely have little to no trouble. The beasts are still able to be dispatched with sonic weapons, and while resistant to disruptor rounds, are by no means immune to them.
Lightsabers will not find it difficult to pierce, but difficult to cut through. Any motion for a slash or cutting motion will likely cause the energy blade to either glance off, or have to work against a similar resistance to that of a blast door.
The Barbarian rancor are hyper aggressive, pheromone driven, hunger induced, rage machines. The opposite of what Hix promotes in the Myrkr zoo, but violence was not achievable by anything but those capable of great violence in his opinion.
