Character

Time: 14:00
Location: Caamas, Refugee Camp Zeta, Landing Zone Bravo-Alpha
Population: 100,000
Refugee camp Zeta, it was the largest on the planet but not by much. Thousands of camps just like it sprouted up when the Republic aid arrived and at first, it was a good thing. The people of Caamas had once been privvy to an amazing world full of lush and exotic flora and fauna. Now, due to the old wars, this was all they had. That was the problem, so much of the populace had been stuck here for so long that they began to build lives which they refused to leave. It was becoming a slum. Katia couldn't fault them for it and while she figured out her next move she could only do what had been done, continue to provide support.
LZ Bravo-Alpha was one of the main spots of aid distribution. It was a 160 square feet piece of land cleared off for an almost unending line up of Republic ships to drop off supplies. It was constantly swarmed by those looking for help, the Caamasi people, and those giving it out, Republic soldiers and volunteers. There was hardly any semblance of order when drops came. Usually a republic soldier would pop a crate open and by the time he'd turn around there would be a hundred hungry hands stretched out. That was the type of sobering work being done on Caamas and Katia thought it important for whatever representative the Baran Do sent to see it.
It was a day like any other there. The people clammered around taking what they could while the Republic tried to make sure everyone got their fair share. Katia, dressed in her military uniform, stood between two designated spots where cargo ships had been touching down all morning long. Letting all walks of life pass around her while she hoped not be lost in the crowd. There was a tent not far off from the LZ she longed to be at, already set up with tables, chairs and holotransmitters for the meeting, but for now she waited for her party to arrive.
