STRENGTHS AND WEAKNESSES (Required: 2 Weaknesses Minimum) :
Describe in moderate detail the strengths and weaknesses of your character.
Strength - Flexibility
Bara's ability to bend joints and move her legs is nearly unparalleled. Such grace and fluidity help make her movements appear relaxed, controlled, and precise. Coupled with her long muscled legs and curvy torso, she exemplifies the art of Twi'lek dance.
Strength - Attitude
Despite the numerous misfortunes that have befallen her, Bara's ability to remain peppy and relaxed have helped her emotionally and mentally deal with her situation. A strong will to survive and a positive outlook on the small pleasures of life have allowed her to find some joy.
Weakness - Limited Knowledge
With very little focus on her education and more of an emphasis on surviving essentially day to day, Bara's knowledge of the galaxy and it's inhabitants is limited. Many new species or places baffle her and what she cannot explain she simply faults to fate or religion. As such she has almost no other skills than the ability to dance well.
Weakness - Low Self-worth
Easily manipulated and deceived by the words of others, Bara feels she has no control over what happens to her life . As witnessed with Felic and other owners, she was persuaded into doing harmful things such as murdering a CIS official . It is difficult for her to think for herself .

BIOGRAPHY:
Bara Soto is a Twi'lek from Ryloth. She was born to a poor family in a time of desperate financial need and as a result grew up knowing little and owning even less. Her childhood consisted of helping her mother care for her often sickly younger siblings and helping her father take in extra credits doing work that most did not desire. For example she would often help him catch wild and dangerous animals to sell them for food. Above all Bara felt an intense devotion to her family, constantly worried about the state of their physical and financial situations. Tough times brought the small family together, and Bara believed she would always have her family to protect her. Unfortunately, this is not the way of the world.
As she grew Bara realized she had a keen interest in the dance forms of her local clan. The dancers were always very beautiful and elegant, like goddesses visiting an unworthy planet. Many shows and traveling bands would pass through the mountain range Bara lived on, and she could often see shows for free. Her happiest moments were spent watching the dancing ladies perform. They were always so classy and beautiful, clean and happy. Bara believed if she could one day master the art of dance, she too could be well-fed and famous, able to wear nice costumes and be surrounded by admiring fans. After each show she would sneak home and practice in private, until she felt she had mastered a move. Her body was naturally thin and athletic from lots of missed meals and physical labor. She could easily kick her legs high and twirl around, and her joints were extremely flexible. With a little hard work and faithful practice, she developed ability .
Fate is an ironic thing. She trained to find a better life for herself and her family, but in reality it led to her downfall. She was hired as a dancer at a club as soon as she reached adulthood. The clubs were nothing like the classy shows she had witnessed. Here the males were rude and degrading to her, and quickly she grew to hate work. But, it allowed her to pull in more credits than what she had been doing and it helped her father feed the family. It was natural for young women to sell their bodies on Ryloth, as helpless as it made them feel. Times were tough, and without proper educations options were limited.
She unwittingly caught the eye of a human male named Felic Ebsen, who operated an underground drug and slave market. Bara found that she enjoyed his attention and the praises he rained down on her. She had never been in love before but her young mind convinced her Felic was looking out for her best interests.
In truth Felic had been played by an influential representative of the Confederate of Independent Systems, a Falleen named Zorr Dizor. Dizor had stolen a large shipment of drugs from Felic, and the human planned to get even. Felic convinced Zorr he was in for a special treat, and Bara was sent to the Falleen's personal vessel above Ryloth's surface. Bara was given specific instructions to seduce the Falleen and kill him with a dagger hidden beneath her clothes. Bara certainly knew that murder was wrong, but Felic threatened to kill her family if she did not carry out the task. Terrified, she felt she had no choice. All went according to plan, although Bara had to fight off Zorr's pheromones to get close enough to stab him.
Felic immediately retrieved her as soon as she confirmed Zorr was dead. A CIS security force was sent to apprehend the duo, forcing Bara to flee Ryloth without a word to her family. She has not since heard from them. Felic kidnapped her aboard his ship with a squad of CIS guards in pursuit. The chase continued over a span of several weeks in the Outer Rim, finally concluding in the Mid Rim desert planet of Blenjeel.
Felic was killed not by blaster fire but by a giant sand worm snaking through the desert. The CIS force was also devoured in the ensuing struggle. Bara was saved only due to the timely intervention of a sand skiff armed with a powerful gun. The sand worm was wounded and retreated, leaving Bara to be hauled up by the men attending the sandskiff.
She had run out of luck again, because these were slavers looking to make a quick buck. She was immediately put in chains and brought to a rough market in town alongside a collection of hapless slaves. Bara was quickly sold to a Hutt named Jerga who was attending the spectacle in search of more entertainment. She was delivered to Nar Shaddaa and spent several months under the watch of Jerga and his minions, pleasing his crowd with her dance. Nar Shaddaa was unlike any planet she had seen before , a true nest of darkness and violence.
Bara was told she was now property of the Black Sun Syndicate, and once Jerga decided he could make a fortune off of her, she was bought by an official in Black Sun's network. This time her owner's name was Lucid Coleman, a Zabrak male with more business savy than she had ever witnessed. Lucid was always cool and calculating, with a voice so icy it sent shivers up Bara's spine. He was wealthy from a drug operation he oversaw on a few Outer Rim planets. Because he always wore expensive suits, he bought Bara jewelry sometimes along with form-hugging dresses and heels so she could look classy while standing at his arm during meetings. Lucid allowed Bara to hear his business talk, believing she was too dumb to understand. He offered her everything necessary to live, and in return she did whatever he asked. Coleman sometimes arranged parties or events where she was asked to perform for his allies. She frequented trips along the Outer Rim with him as he tended to business.
She eventually escaped his custody, sneaking onto a shuttle. This would lead her to Coruscant, where she ran into the kind Tacitanya Raderi, a female Twi'lek who allowed Bara to stay the night with her and became a quick friend. Bara's next goal was finding employment and residence in the slums of Coruscant, vowing to avoid the dance clubs because she knew it would only lead to more trouble. She ended up waiting tables at a sleepy diner and living in a small apartment located in the entertainment district of Coruscant, a few blocks from the casinos and clubs.
