Bar Crawl (Sar'Talani'Vek)

Alek glanced at her lightly before he looks away a bit and takes another deep drink his eyes once more flaring up with anger as he taps the table with his finger before finally speaking. "I grew up on Wayland before it was invaded. My mom was killed in the invasion apparently. My father dumped us there to keep us safe from his enemies." The young man glared at the table angrily as he sighs finally running a hand through his hair.

Talani reached over and placed a hand over his smiling a bit, trying to be comforting, something she wasn't very good at. Apparently her question had struck a nerve, she sighed, deciding to try and make it up to him by answering her own question in return. "I grew up on a ship, only home I ever really had. My parents were smugglers. Never lived anywhere other than on my dad's ship til I was thirteen," she explained, frowning slightly as she spoke. [member="Aleksander Miles"]

He glances over at her seeing the look on her eyes before he pulls her against him suddenly the arm that had done so moving around her waist. This was probably a dangerous move but he was risking it he looked down at her as he held her there gently. "Are you ok Talani?"

Talani's face flushed a little in embarrassment, growing a slightly darker blue color. She nodded slowly as she felt his arm slide around her waist. Had she really looked that sad? It had been awhile since she'd really talked about, or even thought about, her parents. She closed her eyes slowly, trying to force the memories of her father's last moments from her mind. After a few minutes she opened her eyes again, staring into Alek's deep purple ones and trying not to blush some more. [member="Aleksander Miles"]

Alek looked down into her red eyes his hand moving up to stroke the side of her cheek gently as he leans down pecking her lips gently before he pulls back a soft smile on his lips. He finally smiled and moved to release pleased that she wasn't sad anymore he would let her move back if she wanted to.

Talani blushed even more as his hand stroked her cheek and he kissed her. She was not used to this kind of affection from anyone. Sure, she hadn't exactly been 'alone' all this time, but she hadn't been with anyone who actually seemed to feel something for her. The only time anyone had ever kissed her or looked at her like that she had been forced to kill them. This time the flashbacks were too strong and Talani pulled away and shot onto her feet. Her knee bumped the table hard, but she didn't even seem to notice as she scrambled from the booth and raced out a nearby door, leading to a small garden like area behind the bar. Alek jumps up waving his men back as he sprints after her catching up to her and reaching out catching her wrist turning her and pulling her back towards him quickly holding her against his form gently. One hand reaching up to run through her hair as he kisses her forehead once whispering to her. "Hey hey its ok I didn't mean to upset you breath and calm down center yourself."

Talani glanced up at him with tears in her eyes. She reached up to wipe them away before he could see them, hopefully. She hated thinking about that particular chapter in her past. She had only been 15, just found out she was pregnant, and Sempra had ordered her to kill the father of her child, the only person she had ever allowed herself to love. True, she had been a teenager at the time, but that didn't change the guilt over what she had been forced to do. Since then, she hadn't really let anyone get close to her. The young woman took a deep breath, regaining control of her emotions before turning away from Alek and staring up at the sky. "It wasn't your fault. I just... Remembered something I didn't feel like remembering," she explained quietly. [member="Aleksander Miles"]

Alek stepped forward and wraps his arms around her waist holding her against his body gently as he pets her hair soothingly. "I am sorry Talani do you want me to go?" The young man gestures back behind him to the cantina and the way out he didn't want to leave her alone he felt like she needed him there.

Talani was about to say yes, but she stopped herself. Having his arms around her just felt so right, she didn't want him to let go. The Chiss sighed softly and closed her eyes, leaning against him and slowly bringing her arms up to wrap around him as well. Maybe just once she could allow herself the weakness that came with caring about someone. It would likely only be for one night anyway, and she was tired of being so alone. The dancers she'd bring up to her apartment and the occasional random stranger was fun, but this was something different. When Alek hugged her, it felt like maybe someone finally cared about her again. The young woman nuzzled against his shoulder a bit and finally answered his question. "No, I want you to stay here." Alek lets a soft smile cross his lips as he looks down at her tilting his head lightly curiously. "So what shall we do Talani? Shall we stay out here in this garden or go back into the cantina and drink while relaxing?" His hand started to rub her back gently as he held her feeling her nuzzle into his shoulder as he does.

Talani blushed a bit more and shook her head. "The cantina is too loud, and it's a bit cold up here. I have a better idea," she replied, grabbing his hand and threading her fingers between his. She tugged him back inside, leading him to the door to her apartment, slightly off to the left of her booth. She unlocked and flung it open and led the way up the stairs, the door automatically swinging shut and locking behind them. The Chiss kicked her boot off near the top of the stairs and pulled Alek over to the couch. There was a shelf full of random bottle of liquor off to the side of the room, but Talani for once didn't feel like grabbing one of them. [member="Aleksander Miles"]

He followed after her waving his men off. Once upstairs he looked around before stepping to the side and slipping out of his armor revealing light cloths suitable for wearing under a full body suit of armor. Laying his gun belts alongside the armor he sighed stretching as he grinned happy to have the armor off. He walked over to her smiling as he joined her on the couch pulling her over to him and rubbing her side gently.

Talani blushed as she felt Alek pull her close to him. It felt kind of nice though, being held by him. Part of her wanted to pull away, but another part of her was content to stay there in his arms for as long as he was willing to let her. She sighed softly, as she finally decided to allow herself to stay there, cuddled against him. One night of being weak and then she'd go back to the way it had been before. That's what she had decided earlier. [member="Aleksander Miles"]

Alek looks down at Talani offering her a confident smile as he rubbed her side gently his other hand reaching up to rest against her cheek. He strokes her cheek with his thumb as he leans down to kiss her lips again before leaning back actually relaxing without the armor on before he mumbles to her. "You have no idea how good it feels to be out of that armor."

Talani gasped softly when he kissed her, freezing up for a few minutes before returning the kiss a little nervously. She nodded at his comment about the armor, which caused her to remember that she was still armed to the teeth with various knives and other sharp objects. "Uh, I'll be right back!" she mumbled as she pushed herself up off the couch. She disappeared into a room off to the left of the one they were in, returning a few minutes later in a black tank top and a pair of black shorts. She was down to only carrying one blade on her, a small knife in a sheath strapped to her thigh. [member="Aleksander Miles"]

Alek stretches as she slips away standing he slips over to get a drink from her private stash sighing as he reached up to rub his shoulder. He turned as he heard the door open again seeing her walk out he looked her up and down a light blush coating his cheeks as he nods his head once. "You look amazing Talani." He walked over to her slowly reaching out to touch her cheek gently as he stood in front of her.

Her face flushed again at his praise and she giggle a bit as his fingers brushed against her cheek. "Thank you, Alek," she replied, brushing her hair out of her face and tucking it behind one ear. She noticed the drink in his other hand and took it from him taking a sip and smirking. "I'm allowed to steal your drinks, it's my house," she laughed a bit as she made this declaration, walking back over to the couch and sitting down again. [member="Aleksander Miles"]

He raises an eyebrow as she walks away his eyes traversing over her form before he starts to walk forward calmly pulling her against him gently as he spins her sitting down and pulling her down onto his lap with a smirk. "So if you get to steal my drinks then I get to have you here." He smiles at her as he leans back one hand petting her lower back lightly.

Talani smirked as he pulled her into his lap. She took another sip of his drink before leaning forward to set it down on the table in front of the couch. The Chiss cuddled against him, laying her head on his shoulder. She wasn't sure what it was about about him that was making her act this way, but being in his arms felt nice. She shivered slightly as his hand trailed down her back and pressed a little closer to him. "So do you flirt with every girl you meet like this, or am I special?" [member="Aleksander Miles"]
