Bang, You Mist (Coci Sinopi)

Belviq Station
Above Ojom
The Suite deLargesse
Late Afternoon

The planet Ojom lay just with Republic space, nearly butting up against both the Lords of the Fringe and the Omega Protectorate, and as such, an excellent spot for smugglers, thieves, con men, gun runners, slavers, and politicians to meet and discuss business.

Captain Jack Sparrow, Senator of Kashyyyk, had gotten word through his network of pirate contacts that a shipment of plasma pistols was making its way into the Republic. The weapons were, of course, illegal, and while normally Jack wouldn't give two Wookiee's ham bags (a phrase he'd picked up on Kashyyyk) about the smuggling of arms, he had further heard that the pistols had caught the attention of a terrorist cell called the Bat-Wing Commandos, who dressed all in black and liked to tell people how angry and terrible they were, and were planning to use them in a raid on Hilo. Jack liked Hilo. It had a lovely casino and hotel where he'd once won a good deal of money and also eaten a spectacular meal and not gotten shot at once.

So it was that Jack decided to investigate this shipment himself and, in the name of good meals everywhere, put those responsible inside a secure prison, where they would quite likely not enjoy the food at all.

Just as he hung up his favorite coat and began thinking about dinner (for all this reminiscing about food had made him hungry), there came a knock on the door of his suite.

Belviq Station
Above Ojom
Unmarked GIA Ship
Hangar Bay
The Suite deLargesse
Late Afternoon
Tired and grumpy

Beads of sweat had formed on her brow, finally she had landed the infernal unmarked GIA ship in the infernal hangar bay of the space station and began cool down of the engines. She slumped back in the pilots seat, her head resting on the back of it with her eyes closed to regain composure of herself and her stomach which had threatened to abort it's contents. As she opened her eyes slowly, she could see droids and ground crew moving toward her ship to begin refueling and run diagnostics on her engines and sensor arrays. They seemed friendly enough, but still, she is in unknown territory and a long way from Coruscant. It had been a long flight and she is tired and grumpy.

A certain Senator, Jack Sparrow, who she is assigned to 'keep a close eye on' had ventured out to these parts. Normally however, she would not bother with his adventuring outside Coruscant but a rumour of an alleged terrorist cell working out of this System had also sparked her interest. Not that she suspected Jack of being a terrorist ..that did not seem quite his style, but still interesting that the two 'interest points' are together.

After approaching the reception and ascertaining Jack's suite number, Coci proceeded toward the room. There is no real need to hide her presence here from him at least, but she had every intention of speaking to him. Arriving at the door of The Suite deLargesse, she smiled at the name, she knocked and waited.

Jack unlocked the door and pulled it open, his eyes widening at the sight of @[member="Coci Sinopi"]. "Well well well," he smiled, his voice husky, "what have we here? Coci Sinopi? Are you sure you're in the right place, love?" He turned to look behind him in a teasing fashion before bowing to her deeply from the waist and opening the door wider. "Well do come in. I was just about to wander the station and find a place to dine. There's a restaurant just downstairs, but trust me, not worth the prices they're charging."

The pirate senator waited until Coci had entered the suite before shutting the door behind him. "Now I know you didn't just travel to Ojom to spend some private time with me," said Jack, drumming his fingertips together as he walked towards the woman. "Unless you did, in which case I'll need a moment to decide whether you're being sincere or setting me up for something, and then another moment to decide how much I'd care." He smoothed his moustache and beard with his right hand and gave her a wink.

She gave him a rye smile as she walked into his suite. Looking and walking around the room checking out the decor and picking up the odd trinket to examine before placing it back, she turned to face the man. "We can eat later", she said, in fact she could do with food after that flight, her stomach had settle somewhat.

"As much as that thought is appeal Jack, you are right", she smiled more with the jest, there was no point in hiding from him, as he knew the nature of her work. She reached into her jacket and remove a small device, as she worked the controls, her black eyes flashed a look toward him. She waited for the results as her scanner reached around the room .. searching for listening devices and/or hidden cameras .. none detected. She quickly put the small scanner back in her pocket.

"Now we can talk .. I have come here to investigate a rumour that a terrorist cell has located here and setting up operations, what the nature of their 'intentions' are .. the intelligence was not clear, however I plan to find out, and .. deal with the situation, if reports are correct", she said. "You know anything this Jack?". She looked at him with a slight smile and her head to the side. Oh she was in no doubt he did know something ...

Jack blinked innocently at @[member="Coci Sinopi"]. "Why would I, a simple senator from the planet of the Wookiees, know anything about such a despicable conglomeration?" he asked, before raising a forefinger. "Except. It appears that a shipment of illegal plasma pistols have somehow found their way into Republic space, and may or may not be on this station, and may or may not be for sale, and may or may not be within sight of a group calling itself the Bat-Wing Commandos which, you must admit, fan of black that you are, is a good name for a coterie of wrongdoers, and that said clique may or may not intend to use said weaponry in furtherance of their nefarious schemes, to wit: considerably shortening the lives of specific individuals on the planet Hilo." He paused, interlaced his fingers in front of his chest, and pointed his index fingers at Coci. "Now. Assuming I did know such a thing, and was of a mind to put a stop to it, would a man like me, disposed to put an end to such an enterprise, find a woman like you inclined to help or hinder? Because the former will lead us to a lovely dinner together, whereas the latter will mean harsh words and probably gunfire. If I actually knew anything about it."

While Jack spoke, Coci had propped herself up against one of the side tables in the room. So he knows everything about it. This .. of course .. came as no surprise, in fact it helped greatly and furthermore there appeared to be more to this rumour then the reports indicated. Arms dealers thrown into the mix, a tangled web is being weaved and now with Jack's information it is no longer rumour, but a much larger problem in this System.

"Hmpth", was all the response he received as she pushed herself of the bench. She stood for a moment, looking him over from head to foot and without a word turned and walked into his bedroom. And ... she quickly chanced the code to the room and locked the door. Coci walked over to his wardrobe and opened it, looking at his clothes. Running her hand over a select few she chose a part of trousers, a shirt and a spare jacket and a brown leather belt. She peeled out of her black body suit and dressed into his clothes. Her eyes fell on a pair of boots with leather laces, she did not need the boots, but unthreaded one of the laces, went to the bathroom and plaited her long black hair and tied it secure with the lace. As the trousers are loose she secured them with the belt before putting her holster back on with her weapons.

She looked in mirror, still look to squeaky clean. But there was not much she could do about that, then her eyes found a crate of booze tucked in the corner. Opening one of the bottles of .. rum, she dabbed a couple of drops on her neck like she would perfume, just enough to give a faint scent of the rum. Completed, she left the bedroom.

"Lets go and be sociable", she said with a grin.

@Coci Sinopi
OOC: My most sincere apologies! I didn't see this reply, and what with my sudden LOA it's taken me a bit to get back to it. Hopefully your muse is still intact! :)

IC:
"The bedroom?" asked Jack as Coci entered. "Aren't you rushing things a bit love? Not that I mind, per se, but..." Jack pulled up short as the door shut behind the operative, his hands coming up in front of him. He reached down to open the door, only to find it locked. The pirate wrinkled his nose in distaste, then shrugged and moved away, assuming she hadn't come all this way just to steal his wardrobe.

When the door opened once more the woman in the tight black bodysuit was gone, replaced by a piratey vision of loveliness who smelled like heaven, or at least rum.

"Lets go and be sociable", she said with a grin.
"Yes, let's," agreed Jack with a smile. He led the way to the door, holding it open for Coci with a gentlemanly bow.

The pair took the nearest lift down, and from there Jack began leading the way along the Level 8 corridors. Bright lights, loud music, and a panoply of beings thronged about, making it easy to blend in with the crowd. If one had an eye for such a thing, one would notice that the clientele seemed to be almost completely made up of the Lower Class, save one or two small groups who seemed to be slumming it for the experience. Those beings were the ones who were treated to the occasional cold sideways glance as they moved about, and if Jack knew anything about underhandedness (and he most certainly did), those same beings were being targeted for scams, grifts, thefts, and carefully arranged disappearances. None of that, of course, was any concern of his.

"Ah, the Laughing Harp," smiled Jack, arriving at last at their destination. "Here, my love, we will dine on some of the freshest sea food that can be safely transported from the planet below to our haven in the heavens. Also too, the head chef owes me a favor due to an unfortunate incident involving two Twi'leks and the potential for holos being sent to Mrs. Head Chef."

Jack slipped the maître d' a modest cred chip, and he and Coci were shown to a table near the kitchen entrance. Jack asked the maître d' for a piece of paper and something to write with, quickly scribbled a note, and instructed the Gungan to bring it to Parch Paik, the head chef.

"It should just be a minute or two," Jack said to Coci. "In the meantime, have a look at the menu, and at that suspicious looking Squib in the corner over there. None of our concern, but he looks like he means harm to someone, if you follow my meaning."

“And what kind of Holos is one likely to find regarding you, Jack?”, Coci asked with a grin, “But then there is no Mrs Jack, or at least none I know of”.

Coci pushed through the crowd after Jack, the slumming types where not the only ones receiving cold sideways looks, she could feel eyes piercing her back as she passed, but that did not worry her at all, she is skilled enough to take out most of them here and would not feel the slightest twinge of regret.

Her black eyes darted around searching for any immediate threat, and beyond that to anything hidden from the eyes of most. Coci has the ability to see more than most, her eyes giving her this natural talent even without the use of the force. She is looking for any shift in the auras of the beings in the place, any slight movement indicating a hand going to a weapon, just something she does in any situation, it is the mark of paranoia that goes with the job.

Jack seemed comfortable in this place .. among these types of people and for the most part, should no outward sign of concern. The clever thing to do is bow to experience and be guided by that, and Coci is clever, she will follow Jack’s lead for the moment. She sat down at the table and took up the menu and began to look it over.

“I look forward to having some fish .. it has been some time”, she said in a softer tone. Coci did not have to physically look around to see the squib, she could sense him through the force. “Lets see what the squib does, and … why”.
