BIOGRAPHY:
Some look at being born a noble as a gift. As though the individual born to it is better off then the ones that aren't. That is simply a lie, for every happy noble there could be another that considers their position to be torture. Bael is one of these people, even when he was sent to the best schools and was renown at a young age it was not for himself. He was merely a trophy for his parents to tote around as they saw fit. Everything he was they picked, everything he did they decided. His life was forfeit and able to be changed at the flick of a wrist if his parents deemed it to be useful to the families prestige. IT was horrible and Bael could never truly be seen as having a childhood as everything he did was for his parents. Whether it be playing an instrument or even appearing at other noble childrens birthdays it was all a front that he could not truly get behind. Though being the good son he was he did what his parents wanted even if it left him bored or wanting of something else. Often he would look at the transports coming to and from Serenno in aw wanting to be free, to join them among the stars and explore the galaxy.
As he continued to grow and his mind developed Bael slowly became more and more rebellious over the years and by the time he was sixteen had begun drinking and would illegally race speeders and starships using them to escape the tasks and duties that plagued him as a Serennonian noble. He did his best to be free and to be himself, to experience what the galaxy had to offer, but even then his parents stopped him and began to send bounty hunters to capture and bring their son back home or to scare off the people that Bael had made friends with or hung around. Though there was one person they never knew about, one person that Bael cared for more than anything in the galaxy. More then wealth and more then some title. Her name was Lina. She was Bael's guiding light and had pulled him from the darkness that threatened to engulf him. The daughter of a merchant in Lina's family was far from being wealthy or being affiliated with the nobles in any way, but that did not matter to Bael. All that mattered is how much time he could spend with her. Often times he'd sneak out of the Malpas estate just to see her. However when the guards caught on to what he was doing Bael could no longer see Lina at her home or in the city. So they both went far off to a deserted island that had yet to be claimed and that is where they cemented their relationship beneath a starry sky.
Months passed and it soon turned to years and when they were eighteen the two finally wed each other on the very same island they claimed to be their own. Delivering such news to his father and mother shocked them both greatly, and send them into a full on rage at what their son had done. Their screams of how he had disgraced the family was music to Bael's ears and nothing they said could phase him as he was finally at peace. They dare not disown him either as then the news would spread even further and the Malpas family could potentially loose their spot among the Serenno hierarchy. So using his families credits Bael had a magnificent estate built for him and Lina on that very island where they could watch the sun rise and fall while being away from the trivialities of Serenno's cities and the nobles.
A mere month after their marriage Lina was pronounced to be bearing the couples first child. His heart swelled with joy and happiness. For once Bael was completely satisfied with life, but then it all came crashing down like a castle made of sand. He returned home from an outing with a few of the other nobles as he had promised his parents he would do, but upon entering his home he found not his wife waiting with open arms but instead her corpse a still smoking blasterbolt in her chest. He held her in his arms pleading with anything a god, the force, for anyone to help her. To bring her back to him, but nothing answered. Nothing but the boiling rage that threatened to swallow him, however his own sorrow and sadness overshadowed it. Bael knew who had planned this, he knew who to blame but instead of killing them outright Bael hired a group of Maladian assassin's to not only kill his parents but to make them suffer as they did so. The Malpas' had no lack of enemies so their assassination wasn't to much of a shock and being the only child the title of Count passed on to Bael. However even when he took the mantle he felt empty as though a piece of his very being had been destroyed.
