Private Bad Times on Gilded Eclipse

Tag The Nomad The Nomad

The Gilded eclipse did not live up to its namesake. One would think of a luxury liner filled with aristocratic passengers, fine dining, and live music. Instead, the ship was two centuries old and long past it's prime. Maybe there was a time when the transport was seen as a luxury cruiser but now it primarily hauled cargo and refugees trying to escape various war-fronts. It was also the only transport that Corso could afford after his master assured him multiple times that he would be "compensated," at arrival. This was to be a trial of diplomacy his master promised him but Corso had no clue who was he supposed to negotiate with?

He was handed a container that he was specifically told not to open. Was given a short notice passage on the gilded eclipse and he wasn't even given a straight answer of who the recipient was going to be at the end of this journey. All of these facts put Corso in a foul mood. To pass the time he worked on the puzzle box hoping to finally, unlock what he needed to make his lightsaber. After two hours of breathing exercises and positive affirmations, he gathered his thoughts. Closing his eyes he began to reach to the box with the force. He could feel it, the power that was at his fingertips began to massage what was needed to open the container before there was a shudder on the cruiser. His eyes opened before another shudder hit, he reached with the force and felt the anxiety that now filled the ship.

"Kark," was all he managed to say before the lights went out.

Alarms began to blare as commands were shouted in the intercom. "We are being boarded, do not panic! Present all valuables and do not put up a fight they will leave shortly," Corso could not believe what he was hearing. He shoved the puzzle and the container he was transporting into his back-pack and got up, The trial required him to deliver the package and he was hell-bent on not failing.

Shouts filled the hallway of the lower deck, they were of panic and from the various passengers who had even less than him. Corso moved away from where the group was congregating. He had to find a place to hide and he had to find it fast.
