Back on the Hunt.

Ordo sat perched on a roof of the local hotel. The sun was slowly creeping to the horizon and soon darkness would begin to fall. His new armor was well suited for the job he had taken. He didn't need the money that was true but he had heard of a woman force user making trouble in the sytem and had volunteered to bring her in and stop her from running about doing as she pleased.

He had narrowed the search down to here and noticed a strong presence that even he cpuld feel, and that said something. His beskar armor was heavy by most standards but he thought it was a bit on the lightside. The stigium-triprismatic polymer made detecting the Mando with sensors impossible and even the naked eye would have trouble unless he moved. It was a hunters armor and he was 80% sure he had found his prey.

She had been moving around the city and had definitely been keeping a low profile. Now Ordo waited with a a new Verpine shatter gun loaded with knockout darts. He waited for nearly an hour before the woman left a local shop and began heading down the empty street he had covered.

He lifted his weapon and sighted along the barrel. His HUD zoomed in on her back and he breathed in then squeezed the trigger.

The rare, herbal mixture for healing was safely packed away in a satchel slung across her shoulder. There was a good chance she would actually be on time to meet up with Je'gan for dinner at...

A sharp tug of dread snaked through her senses. Years of being on the run from vengeful imperials, sadistic sith and witches never caused her to doubt her instincts, amplified through the force. Muscle memory of a master and years of training enabled her to follow its commands, usually on cue.

So when it said drop, she dropped hard. And rolled. Something slammed into the wall in front of her, clearly missing its target. Back on her feet faster than humanly possible, myrtle ellipses narrowed as she stared into the waning-light. It didn't take long for the healer to pick-up on the flicker of presence in the force. It took even shorter for her to push her palms forward and send a force push....his?....way aimed to sideswipe him off the roof.

Yes, yes, she assumed the attacker was a man.

"It will be better for you to leave now," she called as the invisible energy was sent along its way. She hated to fight but she was sick of running.

Ordo had hoped for this one to go down quickly but he hadn't planned for an easy hunt, he never did. The push the woman sent toward his position could have been countered by someone with the ability, but that someone wasn't on the roof.

Ordo tucked his chin and waited milliseconds before the wave of invisible energy stuck and sent him to the adjacent edge of the building. Rather than fall like the rock he was he kicked at the edge of the building and into the wall of the next building over. He hit like a brick and grabed at the wall as he tried to alow his fall. It didn't take long for him to make his way from the spot he to the ground below with a generous CRASH.

However, in typical fashion he pushed up from to his hands and knees, shook his head then got to his feet. There would be no sniping now but that was life. He pulled his Ripper and turkey peaked around the corner to see the brown haired woman 30 meters away and hear her warning.

"Nope" he said as he combat rolled into the street and came up firing the energized slugs. He would have to build a less lethal pistol for next time, but for now he would use what he had.

Knitting muscle, bone, and even cells together through the force made her a master TK specialist on the minutest of levels. With fighting Moira, it was easier. It was a machine. With this merc, it wasn't going to be as simple as arm ripping.

If he persisted, arm ripping might come later. Until then, she settled for a very quick and surgeon-like precise force thwack to his gun firing hand, hoping to tip his gun just off target so she could get the feth out of the way. One slug rang past her ear and a second burned just above the fabric of her right sleeve.

A rip through her favorite shirt. This guy was going down. Questions about who sent him would come later, if curiosity didn't kill her.

With a subtle curl of her index finger, a parked speeder rose as a shield in front of the chestnut-haired woman. She sent it hurling forward, aimed to smash the mysterious stalker with its underside over and over and over again.

Ordo was next to useless with telekinesis and he was reminded of it again as the speeder launched toward him. What could he do? He decided he would use Ordokenisis. What the heck is Ordokenisis you may well ask. Well dear reader ordokenesis is a fancy way of saying he used the force and punched the thing. The force entered into the Mandalorian and he swung a meaty armored fist in an effort to send the speeder off course. He had planned for this kind of thing but he would have to get much closer and that was kind of the hard part.

He lifted his hand again and fired a dart containing a liquefied form of Knock out serum. His armored body easily seen as he continued moving. He didn't know what the chestnut-haired woman would do next but he was sure she was the right target she was certainly powerful enough to be...

With a dip of her shoulder, the speeder sailed over her head and slammed into a building behind her.

Son of a bantha…

Huge chucks of durasteel, glass, concrete, and speeder fell toward the gathered crowd of not-so-smart onlookers below. Old habits die hard, even though she knew better than to take her eyes off her opponent. Grimacing, she turned and extended her arms, throwing-up a green-shimmering force shield around the scrambling pedestrians. A sharp-prick bit through the fabric of her shirt and into the soft-flesh of her shoulder. She growled as the shield flickered; the last person got mostly out of the way. Arms lowered and the shield dissipated as she turned back to the incoming armored tank of a man. The rubble crashed behind her, sending up a cloud of dust.

Slender digits wrenched the dart out of her shoulder and she swayed on her feet, concrete biting into her knees and palms as she half-controlled her collapse to the ground. Using the force, she sent it to wrap around her attacker’s ankles and feet to trip him up and give her the precious seconds she needed to perform detoxify poison. She could already feel the mystery liquid ooze back out of her skin. But this kind of microscopic, cell-based work was taking all of her concentration, even as the dust-cloud enveloped her hunched-form.

Ordo hesitated as the dart flew and the woman saved nearly 25 careless civilians who thought a show was worth their lives. That didn't seem like the woman he was after. Either reports were wrong or Ordo hadmade a mistake.

He charged forward to help check the wreckage that was kinda, sorta his partial fault. The woman turned and swayed collapsing to hands and knees. Ordo was nearly there when an unseen force clamped on his ankles like ancient bolos and down he went with a heavy crash. Dust flew out from beneath the broad bodied Man and he immediately rolled to his side and shot a whipcord toward the womans hands. This mess needed to get worked out and he wasn't exactly known for diplomacy.

"Stay down blastcha." Ordo's deep voice came out though the helmets external speakers.

What was left of the mystery drug dripped out of her shoulder and soaked the cloth of her shirt in a slow trickle. She pushed against the remaining and lingering weariness. Hand went up instinctively and she fell into a tight ball as the chord shot forward. It wrapped around her left wrist.

Grimacing, she pushed to her feet, golden lightsaber bubbling to life in her right hand as she went to cut the tether. "Stop shooting things at me or we'll have more than words." She stood her ground.

'Tough as nails.' Ordo thought as he pushed to his feet.

Shhhhhhhhhhick.

His black beskad slid from its sheath. He had beaten the jedi and their over-zealous can openers before. He even pit a cocky little knight over his knee and did what his mama should have done years before. If this jedi criminal wanted to swing her jetise'kad Ordo would accommodate.

He held his beskad in one hand as he approached. He only knew djem so but that was usually all he needed.

"I'm bringing you in. Hard or easy is up to you, Jeti." He said deactivating his cloak.

Her gaze focused beyond the beast of a man's shoulder for a moment, making sure the area was clear. Ellipses narrowed as they snapped back to the hunter. "A bounty-hunter. I should've known. I hope the sith are paying you enough blood money for this."

A rebar-pipe rose from the rubble behind Ordo about the same time the severed chord dropped from her wrist. The pipe moved to swing like a smashball bat toward Ordo's rear. The chord shot forward with the same invisible power of the force toward the man's ankles.

Maybe after this, he would think twice about hunting jedi.

Her face paled as she felt a wave of dizziness hit her. Must've been leftover from whatever drug was in that dart. Her head shook once as she tried to clear her vision to stay tracked on Ordo.

Ordo took a step unaware of the rebar-pipe enroute to his backside. His beskad swept low for the cord and caught it as it headed for his ankles. The thought of working for the Sith was sickening and he wasn't certain if she had said it to throw him off or if she had made enemies everywhere.

"I don't work for Si.." His sentence was interrupted by the crack of metal on metal as the pipe hit him in the backside. He lunged forward with a bruise sure to be forming under his armor and fell to one knee. "Sith."

He pushed back up to his feet. This girl was tough and Ordo was impressed she hadn't run away but that was the kicker. His quarry had never picked a fight with anyone she couldn't easily beat, while this woman was standing her ground. He looked at her and noticed a she had given her head a shake. Ordo reactivated his armor's stygium triprismatic polymer and called on the force. She could throw speeders and pipes, so it was only fair if he did what he could. He used the force to jump at the woman with the intent of grabbing and holding her until he could get some answers.

Didn’t work for sith? Was it the remnants of imperials, then? There was that one time with that Star Destroyer…

She blinked and the blurred two-images of the bounty hunter suddenly disappeared entirely. Not. Good.

She stumbled back in anticipation raising her lightsaber to – THWACKKK-OOMPHH. Lightsaber hilt clattered to the ground as she found herself encircled by unbelievably strong arms, Nabooian-bear-hug style. Breath caught in her lungs and chest as a jar ran the length of her body, slapping through the lingering fog of the drug. She grabbed onto the moment of clarity and used the force to work through the mechanisms that attached the man’s helmet to the rest of his armor with intentions of ripping it free.

“At least give me the decency to see the face of my executioner,” warm-breath hissed between the small space of separation. She knew that whoever wrote this guy’s paycheck wouldn’t keep her alive for long. Capture was a death-sentence. If the helmet came off, she wouldn’t hesitate to whip her head forward for a solid headbutt.

"I don't kill women who don't deserve it." He said, "Give me your name or we leave together."

Ordo pulled off his helmet to show his scar covered and weathered face. Even if she hit him it probably couldn't make the ugly son of a rancor look any worse.

He hoped she didn't want a kiss he wasn't into public displays of affection with strange women.

"Tahira Solo," she grunted as she stared him down in the short space of separation.

With a crack of her neck, she whipped her head forward in a head butt for the man's face. With the angle he was holding her and if he moved there was a 27.3% chance her lips would smash into his. Unintentionally, of course.

Ordo jerked his head to back slightly as she tried to smash his pretty...well handsome....ok not awful face with her head. His eyes widened as inadvertently her lips smashed against his. Tahira Solo was not the name of his target, nor was it the name of his wife, and yet he stood for a moment in shock as her lips locked with his.

His grey green eyes were as wide a saucers as he looked at her confused. This, this was just not right. It was probably time to go.
