Strengths:
- Production: The B1 is made to be mass-produced and deployed on the battlefield with ease. This is why the B1s are created with the principle of least technology in mind.
- Anti-EMP: Each of the new editions of B1s are outfitted with Electrical Capacitance Shields which renders small EMP attacks, such as grenades, useless. But large weapons such as EMP warheads are still effective.
- Fodder: As the B1s are made to be deployed en masse, they are constructed using the cheapest materials. While they are durable, they can't take much more damage than your average soldier.
The Confederacy of Independent Systems has been known to be the premier faction that utilizes droids for nearly every aspect of their military. Everything from their footsoldiers to their generals are either droids or have some droid influence in some way. This new iteration of the Confederacy is no different in this aspect. In the first attempt at a new generation of droids for the Confederacy, Geonosian Industries has constructed the new and improved B1 battle droid. This droid is a clear upgrade from the B1s of old. Their bulkier appearance are much more fearful than their predecessors. Each droid is equipped with state-of-the-art weaponry and an anti-EMP shielding. These droids are much more durable and, due to the new and improved droid brain implemented into each B1, much smarter.
