Description: With the assimilation of the Galactic Empire came old Bastion-based Galactic Imperium tech, such as the Imperial Starfighter Corps' Hetzer anti-fighter cruiser. Iron Crown set out to make a modernized version suitable for a true escort role, suitable for supporting a wall of battle. The carrier-type vessel's token amount of capital-scale guns were replaced by even more flak batteries, making the Aza'zoth comparable in firepower to the much smaller Tenloss Azalus flak frigate.

The Aza'zoth is fundamentally a carrier, but it carries no manned starfighters, dropships, or gunships. Instead, it carries Maelstrom II submunition drones. A Maelstrom II is droid-guided and as long as a small starfighter, but, at 2 metres by 8 metres, it is much more easily stored and launched. The streamlined Maelstrom drones are stored in quick-launch apertures and bays rather than full-scale fighter hangar bays. The confined space makes the Aza'zoth vulnerable to counterfire and sympathetic detonation, so each launch aperture is individually ray-shielded underneath the ship's collective ray shields. There are a total of six launch apertures.

It is very important to note that the use of Maelstroms and the use of flak cannons are, to some extent, mutually exclusive, in either target or timeframe, as the flak cannons will destroy the Maelstroms as easily as any other small fighter.

Since the Aza'zoth could be considered a carrier that requires a full replenishment of fighter complement after each engagement, it is not suitable for prolonged engagements or long, remote campaigns; it requires frequent resupply and firm supply lines.

This mostly checks out. Only detail that needs fixing are the batteries. After trade in penalty, you'd only end up with 24 batteries, not 27. Once that's fixed, this'll be ready for approval.
