Born in the suffocating slums of the Coruscant undercity, Aymeric's early life was a constant struggle for survival. He roved through the lower levels, navigating a world where surviving meant the death of ten others. His mother, the only light in his life, was eventually lost to him when her body was claimed by a malignant spirit—a tragedy that forced Aymeric to strike down his own mother to find peace. This trauma forged him into a candidate for the Jedi Order, where he eventually rose to the rank of Jedi Knight. As a Jedi Shadow of the New Jedi Order, Aymeric specialized in the tracking and neutralization of Dark Side practitioners and artifacts, operating in the fringes of Sith space.
When the Dark Empire launched its first devastating assault on Coruscant, Aymeric was caught behind enemy lines. Unable to escape the planet, he retreated back into the familiar darkness of the undercity where he had grown up, hoping to wage a shadow war against the invaders. However, the sheer scale of the Dark Empire's reach was inescapable. He was eventually cornered and captured by the forces of the Dark Empire.
Recognizing the potential in a Jedi Shadow, the Dark Empire attempted to mold Aymeric into one of the Dark Side Elite. However, Aymeric's internal resolve, tempered by years of brooding and hardship, proved too stubborn for the Empire’s immediate needs.
