SPECIAL FEATURES
  • It's an axe
  • That shoots axes
  • That also shoot wasps
Strengths:
  • It's an axe- At a glance, it looks like a standard, albeit gnarly, double bearded axe. Very useful for chopping down trees. Or people. Or tree people.
  • That shoots axes- The beards of the axe are actually separate single bearded axes that are fired via rockets. Because rockets are cool.
  • That also shoot wasps- The haft of the launched axes contains a hidden compartment where 10 wasps are carefully stored in individual pods. The wasps have enough food to keep them healthy for about two weeks, give or take a few hours. When the rocket fired axes strike, the section pops open, and a spring loaded ejection system launches the pods gently from the haft. Naturally, the wasps emerge enraged, and attack anything nearby.
Weaknesses:
  • Single Shot- Each axe may only be fired once. After they've been fired, they can be slotted back into the haft, but the rocket pods will need to be reloaded before they can be fired again. It's worth noting that, once you've fired the axes, it's just a sturdy club.
  • Inaccurate- Once fired, the rockets spin the axes through the air, with similar results to being thrown. Aiming is more a matter of luck than skill.
  • Wasps aren't picky- Once fired, the wasps will attack anything they can get their stingers on. If you're too close, that will include you.
DESCRIPTION
Never challenge a Shard while he's drinking. That's how you get the Axe That Shoots Other Axes That Also Shoot Wasps.

It's not a complicated device. Until fired, it's just a sturdy double bearded battleaxe. It's made of durasteel and has a wooden haft, so it's not going to be much use against lightsabers, but it'll more than do for the average chump.

To fire the axe, simple hold down the trigger and swing it towards the target. This will fire a single axe towards the target. The rockets are relatively weak, allowing for no more thrust than an extremely fit axe throwing champion could manage, but they throw off a lot of sparks and smoke and make a hellacious shrieking sound, which is nice. Aiming is more a matter of luck than anything, but all you really need to do is get the axe close enough for the wasps to get to work.

Inside the haft of the launchy axes is a hollow compartment in which ten wasps are housed in individual pods. The pods protect them from most shocks, keeping them alive and angry until they're freed. They've got food to much on, enough to keep them kicking for about two weeks. After that, they'll need to be swapped out for fresh wasps. Upon impact, a spring loaded ejection system jettisons the pods, releasing the wasps, which will then proceed to attack anything living nearby. Though wasps aren't known for their ability to penetrate armor, they have a knack for attacking vulnerable points, and many humanoid species have an instinctive fear of the things, and for good reason.

Once fired, the launchy bits can be reattached to the main haft, but they can't be launched again until the rockets have been reloaded. This is not something that can be done easily, or under fire. Takes about thirty minutes to do it safely, and about fifteen if you're not all that fond of your fingers.

This idea, while interesting, is so far fetched in its entirety that I cannot see it viable within the realm of star wars.

As such it is denied.

You may second chance if you desire.
