several years to his death, the TURBODUSTERS were a gift to Salvor King when the galaxy-renown shockboxer was working incognito as one of his many enforcers. The gift was not only a testament to his 'generosity', but also served to facilitate an increase of King's effectiveness in the field. Far beyond the mundane shockmitt in both features and lethality, they have been King's go-to gloves for dirty work and unsanctioned bouts.
Covering the hands and forearm up to the elbow, the TURBODUSTERS have doubled in some cases as damage mitigation. The design is imperfect, merely a prototype, requiring regular repair and voltage recalibration. This hasn't stopped King from getting a generous amount of mileage out of them, leaving them battered for better or worse. Few people with the know-how are available to King to have the maintenance done, so as of the current day they are used rather sparingly.
The Echani Accuracy upgrade was haphazardly torn out by King, who considered the inclusion of such an insult to his skill. This improper removal has caused various power issues and allocation errors. This has rendered the mitts extremely vulnerable to EMP and power overloads.
