- Efficiency: The gun just works. It is not the most accurate and powerful weapon out there, but it fires and fires quickly every time. Recoil is naturally existent, but the firepower is not too extreme to cause any handling difficulty for the user after a brief firing trial.
- Simplicity: With just three pieces in construction and a simple plug-and-shoot functionality, the Model 47 can practically be put together and fired by a toddler.
- Reliability: Weather-resistant construction make the gun waterproof and functional in all sorts of environments. Due to its simple design, maintenance is not much of an issue should the gun hiccup at all. A snap-on casing allows the user to exchange covers and switch colors and camouflage schemes on the fly.
The AR-47 is widely distributed by the Rebel Alliance to allies and likeminded groups. It is originally produced on Ryloth, providing alternative labor to help quell the slave trade.
