Once a simple med manufacturer, since its capture by Raine Avox Medical has given up all pretense of humanitarian operation. This new company has one concern, and one concern only: profit. The medications it produces are highly effective but highly narcotic, and the equipment it sells is bleeding edge...but because of that, their products require regular maintenance, and Avox fights right-to-repair viciously wherever it sets up shop. Its employees are treated with the modicum of dignity its consumers are denied - PTO requests are approved rather generously, and medical coverage is extensive even for part workers, all the better to ensure loyalty to and productivity for The Company.
RATIONALE
The Sith Covenant's capture of the Galactic Core destabilized the region. Where the old Alliance and the Empire attempted to uphold some sort of order, the Covenant bred only chaos and uncertainty. Avox Medical, a conservative and ultimately old fashioned company, could not withstand this shift.
Enter Mellia Raine, who spent the remnants of a stolen fortune to capture and transform Avox into something new. Over time, through exploitation, addiction, and ruthless extraction, Avox Medical has stabilized, and now has the chance to sate its new hunger for expansion.
