OVERVIEW

The Avidon Dominion is an aristocratical magocratic hegemony, established in the year 844 ABY from the reorganization of its predecessor state, the Avidon Oligarchy.
Located in the Avidon System in the Mid Rim of the Main Galactic Disk, the Dominion was until recently surrounded by the Republic and the Mandalorians. Its reorganization is to ensure its survival and future in the wake of the great event that saw billions disappear from the galaxy. Formerly established as a hidden refugee for the Sith at the fall of the Sith Empire, this function has since become obsolete with the emergence of the Empire of the One Sith in the Core Worlds. It has thus reorganized itself and its primary duty to that of bringing Order to a galaxy that has become lost to chaos after countless wars and due to the disappearance of billions.
While Sith teachings can be found to have inspired and otherwise guided aspects of the Dominion, it has since begun to drift towards a more neutral standing due to the events that have been taking place across the Galaxy. This shift has also resulted in the emergence of a minor cult dedicated to the belief in the Insidious Force ideal.
Even though it is dominated by a select few in the Aristocracy, the Dominion is a Hegemony, in which Avidon is the Hegemon of its neighboring worlds. It's focus is on ensuring both the future of Avidon as well as restoring order to the Galaxy. This focus has become more apparent with the rise of rival factions in the Galaxy as well as those whom are taking advantage of the already chaotic nature to expand criminal influence and corruptive influences.

FOREIGN AFFAIRS

Order and Neutrality. The Dominion is focused upon bringing Order to the Galaxy while also remaining neutral in conflicts that have been spreading and growing between competing Galactic Governments and Factions. With a goal to bring Balance and Order to an already broken and chaotic Galaxy, the Dominion focuses its Foreign Affairs on the establishment of treaties and peace talks to prevent further conflicts in a bid to provide peace to the denizens of the galaxy.
While the former Avidon Oligarchy leaned towards closer relations with the One Sith, a move that could have proven fatal due to its close proximity to the Republic, the Avidon Dominion is seeking closer ties with both Factions. This new goal is to focus on attempting to bring order and peace by pointing the factions away from each other and inwards to the conflicts within their borders, such as criminal influences, population hunger, etc etc.
When it comes to those that have formed newly and begun to rise across the Galaxy, they are wary of the Red Ravens, viewing them as worst than the Hutt Cartels and Black Sun Organization. They view the Jedi Sects of the Silver Jedi and Levantine Sanctum as disruptive and potentially dangerous to peace and order in neighboring space. While factions such as the Omega Protectorate and Lords of the Fringe are too far away to be of any real concern to the Dominion. Though it is watching the Primeval and Shadow Empire with wary eyes.

MILITARY

The Avidonian Dominion Military is focused on Defensive posturing and protective measures. Its vessels, while capable of producing offense capabilities, are designed to work with one another to route an enemy force. Their ground forces are trained to not only care for their own wounded, yet to also ensure the safety, health and fair treatment of enemy combatants in accordance to the Dominion's own laws and codes of conduct. After all, they are not animals seeking destruction, and many wounded combatants are released on parole and are expected to keep their own words of honor.
It is for this reason that the bulk of the Avidonian Dominion armed forces are organized into defensive forces, such as the Avidonian Defense Fleet and the Defensive Starfighter Corps. Ground forces are comprised of the Royal Army and the Stormtrooper Corps, folded in from former Sith Empire unites that arrived in the System at the fall of the Old Order. Many of whom are not clones, and have been recruited from the Royal Army or those whom have volunteered for duty.
Much like the Mandalorians, the Avidonian Dominion Military prides itself on its word of honor and its code of conduct, with officers held to the highest standards.

FENRIR GUARD

An elite unit of the armed forces, its command structure is organized in a similar manner to that of the former Royal Imperial Guard of the Galactic Empire and their predecessors the Red Guard of then Supreme Chancellor Palpatine. Members are chosen at random for their merit and skills from the armed forces of the Avidonian Dominion with similar training that the Royal Guard were known to have gone through.
Likewise their command structure is not directly linked to the Office of the Minister of Defense, with the Fenrir Guard taking orders directly from the Autarch and the Triumvirate. The exact number of the Fenrir Guard is closely guarded, while the unit also draws inspiration from the real world Persian military force named the Immortals. The exact number of the Fenrir Guard is kept secret as to make it appear that the moment one falls, there is always another waiting to take the place.
As they are charged with the protection of the Autarch and the members of the Triumvirate, they are never seen without a detachment of the Fenrir Guard. Additionally they also act in a similar manner as the Senate Guard, in that units are often assigned to see to the safety of diplomatic visitors, persons of interest and other such important dignitaries as they travel the realm of the Dominion.

TITLES

Those that show great courage in the face of danger, those whom show loyalty to the Dominion, its people and its charges are those of the highest quality and are held up as a standard to others to strive for. These beings whom reach such vaunted heights are rewarded with titles, privileges and honors.
- MARQUIS / MARQUISE OF THE DOMINION - Those whom have shown a particular loyalty in seeing that the ideals of the Dominion are upheld, and that the people are protected are given the highest of honors. The title of Marquis, or Marquise in the event of a female recipient, is awarded to those whom show the greatest qualities of the Dominion. With this title comes the responsibility of overseeing a world, system or systems at the edge of Avidonian Dominion territory.
- VISCOUNT / VISCOUNTESS OF THE DOMINION - Important in their own right, these titles are awarded to those whom show their capability in watching over the people of the Dominion. They do not see to their defense as such as they see to their needs. Those whom are granted this lauded title are those that shepherd the people of the Dominion, whom tend to their flock with such diligence that they want for nothing and thus are protected from the wolves of the galaxy.
- BARON / BARONESS OF THE DOMINION - The lowest of the titles, yet no less important, a Baron or Baroness of the Dominion is a stepping stone to such lofty heights as those titles above. These are those of the Dominion whom show promise and great potential to lead the people and protect them and are thus rewarded for such promise and potential by being given responsibilities as deserving as they are.

ECONOMY

Economically stable even during the turbulent times of the Galaxy, the Avidonian Dominion is graced with abundant fertile lands and vast tracts of mineral wealth in multiple worlds. Much of the economical prosperity seen by the Oligarchy is due in part to a small slave labor force with a large portion of more hazardous labor being handle by droids and other specialized workers. Primarily focused on the growth and export of foodstuffs while backing their wealth through their abundant mineral supplies, the Avidonian Dominion also manufactures and exports technology in the form of vessels, arms and armor and fine goods such as notable textiles.
Originally economically drive by their rapid growth of the textile industry and foodstuff production, their economical strength has flourished in the past few decades through the recovery of valuable minerals from the more rocky and arid worlds in the system. Coupled with the occasionally seized criminal stash or discovery of mineral rich asteroids in one of the three fields that surround the system; the Avidonian Dominion has multiple venues to further its economical prosperity.

INDUSTRIAL COMPLEX

A small yet quickly growing Industrial Complex has marked the rapid expansion and growth of the Avidonian Dominion, allowing it to push for loftier goals and reach towards the heavens to ensure the peace and safety of the denizens of the galaxy in their bid to bring Order to the Chaos. This Industrial Complex is rapidly growing due in part to the richness and untapped potential of the worlds in the Avidon System that had been left unspoiled and untouched by the Gulag Plague and thousands of years of overuse as seen in many other systems. While many companies are pushing towards untouched worlds in the Outer Rim Territories, just as many are being welcomed into the Mid Rim by the Avidonian Dominion.

THE INSIDIOUS FORCE

Thousands of years ago the Sith Lord Darth Traya believed the Force to be akin to an indifferent God. Her reasoning being that the countless wars fought by Force Users was more than enough proof in that the Force cared nothing for those lives consumed so long that balance was achieved. Her philosophy holding that the light nor the dark side were superior to the other and that the Force had to be eliminated from the Galaxy in order for people to truly be Free. A very unpopular theory with both the Sith and Jedi, which was for a time unheard of until Jedi Master Luke Skywalker reached a similar conclusion. His belief though was that the Force did not need to be eliminated, rather that Force-Users had to themselves maintain the Balance of the Force to keep the Galaxy at Peace.
A similar belief has begun to rise with a little known cult in the Avidonian Dominion, in which for peace to be brought to the Galaxy, Force Practitioners of the Dark Side and the Light Side must find a means to work together to keep the Force in Balance to prevent further Chaos and Destruction from spreading. A belief that is highly controversial and likely not to gather much steam, though the future will tell if this is true or not.

POPULATION AND SLAVERY

The Avidonian Dominion is not unfamiliar with the concept of slavery, nor is it unfamiliar with the concept of free peoples. It is thus focused on the ebb and flow of the ever changing structure of the Galaxy and how the peoples feel of slavery. While it views the institution as destructive, it also understands its profitability to many worlds whom have become reliant upon the industry and that would find itself economically crushed if it were removed. It also sees that those whom are released from such a life would face other such discrimination and hardships.
Much of the population of the Avidonian Dominion is thus free beings, with a small fraction of those beings having been enslaved or otherwise having voluntarily signed themselves into indentured servitude to pay off debts owed (though these beings are none the less protected with their own rights).
While the Avidonian Dominion has a stance against Slavery, it will allow it in limitations if the removal would otherwise cause worlds under their protection to fall into chaos.
