With dark auburn hair pulled back into a loose, short ponytail, his most distinguishing feature is the collection of scars running around his neck, down his chest, and the lower part of his face. These are mostly covered by a large vocoder device used to enhance his damaged voice. When not on official business, Avell dresses in blue and gold light armor, his rifle slung over his back and a pistol strapped on his thigh, hidden by the mid-length tails of his top.

HISTORY
Raised by a single father, who was a Republic agent before dying on a job, Avell quickly grew to dream of becoming an agent as well, both to honor his father and to protect his home. He grew close with his trainer once he was actually old enough to enlist, and enjoyed the fast paced environment. However, that bubble of positivity did not last long.
On an advanced mission with his trainer about a year in, Avell was badly injured by ambushing Imperial agents and warriors. When it got to the point he could no longer run on his own, his trainer abandoned him. To make matters worse, as the Imperial fighters were gaining on their position, his trainer threw a grenade towards them, catching Avell in the edge of the blast. The trainer managed to escape, but told everyone Avell was killed by the Empire.
Before he could actually be finished off by a Sith warrior, the Keeper stops them, piecing together the information he's been receiving from the field agents that the injured man was a skilled agent for the Republic, but not fully trained. Seeing the opportunity to push Avell over to the Empire after this betrayal, he commands the field agents to tend to the young man's wounds and bring him to their headquarters.
Once Avell was healed (although his throat was severely damaged during the previous event and thus he cannot speak without the help from tech) and able to restart his training, this time on the Imperial side, he struggled to actually come to terms with his new employer and position, despite his anger and grief over the betrayal. He found it difficult to actually perform any tasks that harm those he was originally training to protect.
However, after the first few punishments for failing a job because of his empathy, Avell learns to just shut his emotions off while on the job and tries his best to forget the things he does after the fact. This gets harder yet more ingrained in his mind as he's promoted to higher risk jobs and ones that require a level of seduction and eventually assassination.
After being broken in by Imperial Intelligence for about a year, Avell's final test of loyalty to the Empire was to hunt down and execute his SIS trainer that betrayed him and left him for dead. Avell was eager to take on this revenge job, not understanding how it was supposed to be a harder test than the torture he'd already endured. By the end of the mission, Avell had killed not only the trainer, but other SIS agents that just so happened to be in the wrong place at the wrong time. Staring at the bodies around him, he understood the gravity of what he's just done. This wasn't simply a revenge offer, it was a chance to fully cut the thread between Avell and those that may try to break him free of the Empire's hold. To finally corrupt him to their side with no chance of rescue.

Almost a decade into his service, disillusioned to the Galaxy as a whole, Avell found himself on deaths door after an job gone wrong. He spent time feeling his body weaken, his loyalty to his employers dying alongside him, before a final rush of adrenaline kicks him into action. As he clawed his way back from the grave, he hid his escape with a large, messy explosion, destroying the ground he was previously laying on.
It took just over a year for him to build himself back up, using the limited supplies he had left to survive and gain himself a new identity as a mercenary, although he'd never call himself that. In this new role, he puts his previous training to work, offering services as an assassin, spy, and guard to any willing to pay.
