HOW TO PUT TOGETHER:
Step 1. Open up photopea (this is what I used to create the avatar, I am not sure how well it will translate to other photo editing software).
Step 2. Go to File and 'Open and Place' to drop in your image.
Step 3. Locate the image that says 'replace this image' and move your image down to just below the scan lines, above that image.
Step 4. Right click and delete the sample image.
Step 5. Right click on your image and add 'clipping mask'. This should automatically fit your image into the frame. However, if you feel like you need to move/adjust your image, you should still be able to resize it. The best way to resize is to click on the 'move tool' at the top of the left hand side (it just looks like a cursor) and click on your image. That should bring up a clear box with little boxes at each corner. This allows you to make the image larger or smaller by clicking and holding one of the small boxes and dragging it up or down. You can also use this tool to move the image around in the box.
Step 6. Save your file as a .png. Make sure the quality is at 100% and do not resize. Chaos will do that for you.
Step 7. Upload
Note: If your image looks blurry, you may need to re-open your avatar and give it a 'sharpen'. To do that, go to the bar at the top, go to filter, sharpen, and smart sharpen. Smart sharpen allows you to manually sharpen your image, however you see fit.
