Grand Admiral Darke smiled brightly when he heard the arrival of Captain Mitz. ''Ahh! Good to see another Chiss in command. Fall in with the fleet, Captain, and engage the pirates with any available fighters.''

"There are enough fighters in space." He said and then he closed the transmission between the other ships, and the hangar bay remained closed as the Imperial Star Destroyer's turbolasers opened up upon the remaining pirate ships.

Green and red lasers travelled the distance and hit shields, hulls and tore them apart. He didn't even utter any words while the gunnery crews performed their duty.

The Grand Admiral watched as the pirate fleet was quickly annhilated by his combined forces, leaving their asteroid base vunerable. ''Now to finish the job. Dispatch landing craft to their asteroid base, capture it for the Ascendancy!'', he said with a grin.

It had gone faster than he had expected, the pirate fleet being destroyed. He looked to one of the ensigns beside his chair and he said, "send out ships to scan the debris. Find anything salvageable." And then when that man had gone off to transmit the orders to the pilots, he gave the order for the Imperial Star Destroyer to continue on towards the asteroid base.

Once the Imperial Star Destroyer had closed in, the landing shuttles had been deployed, carrying hundreds of troops and crossing the distance between the asteroid base and the Star Destroyer in a few minutes. It would only be a matter of time until they had captured the base and dealt with whatever resistance they might encounter.
