Status
Not open for further replies.
Name: Avarian
Designation: Sentient
Homeworld: Alderaan
Language: Galactic Basic
Average height of adults: 1.8 metres
Skin color: Olive, pale, black, etc
Hair color: Blonde, brown, black, red, etc
Breathes: Type 1, 2, 3 and 4 atmospheres/gases

Strengths: Ability to fly, ability to breathe type 1, 2, 3 and 4 atmospheres/gases (due to a filter at the top of their throat)

Weaknesses: Human-like skin which is highly penetrable, slow metabolism (causing slow growth and development of brain). Slow movement (caused by wings). Can be easily over-powered in melee battle due to lack of experience with swords.

Distinctions: Human-like body, wings. Talons and a beak for adults.

Average Lifespan: Average human life-span (85 human years)

Races: None

Estimated Population: 800,000

Diet: Worms, small animals, Qana beans are poisonous to them.

Communications: Uses mouth to speak

Culture: The Avarians' culture was very humble, and based around survival. They were kind to each-other, and acted like they were brothers, but when interacting with other species, they would get territorial and angry. They would wear brightly coloured, eccentric clothing made from cloth which they made. For entertainment, children played throwing games with pine-cones and other objects that could be found around the place. Adults were not allowed to get entertainment, they had to protect the children and their homes the whole time, because of their protective nature of birds. They preferred to live in open spaces because they got claustrophobic. They would eat one small meal a day which consisted of a birds' diet (bugs, small animals).

Technology level: The Avarians have been exposed to house-hold technology, and weapons such as blasters and light-sabers. They were also familiar with technology used for security.

General behavior: Human-like, calm with possibly similar emotions to humans. When it comes to protecting their children or their territory, they will become aggressive.

History: The Avarians lived in fear of being discovered and banished from their home on Alderaan. Once the destruction of Alderaan occurred, they migrated from Alderaan to Kiribi, though some died in the explosion, most of their kind survived. Only a small part of Kiribi's population was non-human but the Avarians were accepted and were no longer hiding from people, and were able to thrive and participate in the economy. Although they were given the unwanted job's, they were making money and were happy living on the planet.

Notable Player-Characters: Raylan Aviar

Intent: The Avarians have weird attitudes and emotions which would be interesting in a role-play situation. They also have physical features such as the ability to fly, and their built-in hunting weapons, their talons and beak. The Avarians are different to any other half-human species because their attitudes and way of life is very different to humans.

Human-like skin which is highly penetrable, slow metabolism (causing slow growth and developement of brain)
I need actual weaknesses here to counteract being able to fly and breath in natural gasses. Those two come in as advantages in PvP combat, please put up some weaknesses that come in, in a PvP setting.

Homeworld: None
They have to come from somewhere even if its destroyed. Please list a homeworld.

Language: English
This is not a language in Star Wars. Please replace this with Galactic Basic.

Breathes: All gases found naturally in all atmospheres
I need some elaboration here. Are you saying every gas in existence this species can breathe?

Estimated Population: 1
You cannot design a species with one population specifically for your only personal use. If you are designing this, it must be a species that anyone can start using.

Culture: No defined culture due to only one of this species existing
Every species has its own culture.

History: History is unknown
Even if it is unknown ICly I still need to see a history section here, something.

Can be easily over-powered in melee battle.
Just to clarify, is this a byproduct of their slow movement or something different?

Culture: The Avanians' culture was very humble, and based around survival. They would hold an annual hunting tournament, which celebrated their bird features. The adult males would use their talons, beak and wings to catch animals on their planet, and bring them home to eat for a feast.
I'm going to need some more elaboration here. Culture is one of the most critical fields of designing species as it gives them character. This can cover everything from social mores, to artistic fancies, clothing and even more. You can really go in depth here with this.

Technology level: Has been exposed to the latest technology but also familiar with ancient weapons/technology
Ancient weapons/technology is a very large scope of tech and some of it is very powerful. I'm going to need some elaboration here on what you mean.

Intent: To provide a half-human species which has characteristics such as wings to make a PvP scenario interesting.
I am going to need you to give me a different, more elaborate reason to create this species. Your adding a whole new species into the world what sets it apart from the many other near-human species? So far it appears to be a human with wings, beaks, and talons. What truly sets the Avians apart from all the others?
