SPECIAL FEATURES
  • Powerful weapon trades range and ammunition capacity as compared with more conventional weapons for incredible stopping power and accuracy, able to stop organic beings or disable starships, electronics, droids, and more.
  • Biometric security allows for only authorized users to operate the weapons.
  • Adjustable stock is ergonomically designed to compensate for recoil and help improve accuracy.
  • Modular rail system enables optics attachment to be changed out for customization.
  • User can toggle between single-shot or semi-automatic rates of fire.
  • Secret "Kill-switch" renders the weapon totally and permanently disabled, delivering a potent EMP shock against the user.
STRENGTHS:
  • Extremely powerful, the weapon is a true disruptor, able to disintegrate a victim molecule by molecule and resulting in a slow, agonizing, and grotesque death.
  • Able to damage, even neutralize, electronics, droids, and even starships if they are not shielded against EMP/Ion threats.
  • Accurate, lightweight, and – thanks to its ergonomic adjustable stock system – durable, it is a terrific weapon system for those who need a portable, powerful weapon to utterly devastate an enemy, even one in armor.
WEAKNESSES:
  • Generally hated – and usually highly illegal – across the galaxy, disruptors are controversial and dangerous weapons at the very least. Even having one can be enough to make a person a wanted criminal in many places, and using one can be the cause needed to charge the user with war crimes, making the choice to possess and use such a weapon almost a certain ticket to serious risk of death, imprisonment, or life as a fugitive.
  • Users must be careful when using this weapon, as even a slight hit will initiate the disintegration process, and no ‘stun’ or ‘less lethal’ options are available. Once begun, the process is nearly unstoppable, unless the area struck is amputated or a force-wielding medic comes to their aid, meaning that in the case of this weapon, “friendly fire” is anything but.
  • Compared to other weapons systems, the recoil is much higher and the weapons’ range and ammunition capacity is notably lower than most common blaster rifles, making it unsuited for battlefield use.
  • To ensure these weapons could never be used against her, their manufacturer created a remote kill-switch signal, able to render weapons inert - causing a small self-destruction inside and giving the user a powerful EMP shock. Once used, affected weapons cannot be used again, as their components are destroyed internally.
DESCRIPTION

Disruptor weapons don’t make friends. Outlawed and reviled since before the rise of the Galactic Empire, disruptor weapons remain controversial and dangerous items, usually found available only in the blackest of markets. The decision to make one wasn’t easy either…

Visanj wanted to create a weapon which could match those disruptors that were in use, with improved accuracy and devastating stopping power, which could be made available to discerning clients who might have need for weapons that left no corpses behind them, and which could – in many cases – punch through even the toughest armors or bring charging droids, attacking vehicles, or low-flying ships to a screeching and sudden halt. Those clients who had such unusual needs paid very well, didn’t ask questions, and having them in one’s good graces was always a useful boon to have.

Visanj knew that disruptors packed a notorious kick and as a rule, accuracy was never a strong feature on these weapons. She designed an adjustable, ergonomic butt stock to help give users better control and take the edge of that recoil, and chose fiberplast for the body, due to the durability and sturdiness of that material, knowing it would help to improve accuracy also. A rail system allows the placement of advanced optics, further still enhancing accuracy and the stock optic uses a floating ‘red dot’ aperture with built-in rangefinder for better targeting. Able to select single shot or semi-automatic firing rates, the weapon is effective in average range firefights and use, but is not suited to battlefield usage due to limited ammunition capacity compared to heavy blaster weapons used by military forces today.

Powerful, doing exactly what it was designed for, the Avalanche Disruptor is a dangerous weapon system. Because of that, Visanj inserted a bio-metric security system, allowing only authorized users to fire, and at the same time, put in a secret ‘kill-switch’ that – when the signal is sent – will cause the weapon to overload and destroy itself, becoming entirely inoperable and totally and permanently disabled, as well as delivers a powerful EMP/Ion shock to the user. A useful insurance plan against the weapns’ misuse or being turned against her!

I would like to note here, that typical AR patterned rifles in today's military have 20-30 rounds as a capacity for their standard rifles. So this statement here being that its unsuited for battlefield usage is redundant and in some cases false. Not ever soldier needs to have a 100+ magazine on a rifle. And I heavily doubt they would want to carry a weapon that has that kind of ammo consumption for prolonged battles.

While it may have smaller capacity compared to blasters, This has a much larger capacity than your average slugthrower. This weapon would be more middle of the road.
