Avery stood, straight-backed upon the landing platform of the main starport of Sinderon IV. On his left was the chief of security, a strong chinned man with short sandy hair by the name of Kaero Seth. He had fifteen years under his belt in the position, and was, by all means, a hardworking and useful employee. Unfortunately, Kaero held anti-Imperial sentiment, and thus his retirement was nearing sooner than he’d like. Every single one of the security detail behind them were Kaero’s men, he could sense their trepidation.

On his right side was Kaero’s successor to be. A Rattataki by the name of Natni. Characteristic of her race, she was bald but covered it with her cap as part of her uniform. She was around thirty, or in her late twenties, and had served for around nine to ten years, thus making her eligible for the promotion. She was a little rough around the edges personality-wise, but he was sure she’d make a fine replacement for her predecessor. Even better, she doesn’t particularly care about the Imperial occupation, something Aery can work with.

The visitor was entering through the VIP dispatch. Today was an auspicious day, a brother of the Emperor himself was coming to visit. Aery had extended the invitation for three reasons, a few he’d rather keep to himself. He glanced to Kaero. Stony faced, clenched hands next to his blaster, he had the appearance of a man ready to kill in the name of... Whatever he believed in. No doubt he hoped to become a hero of democracy by forcing the system to fend off the Empire and join the Jedi. Or perhaps he just wanted independence. Sadly, for him, he was terribly misinformed on the nature of the Force, he didn’t even know Aery was a practitioner.

The weather was sadly disappointing today. Though thankfully it did not rain, the sky, grey and dull, rolled swiftly due to the high winds. Aery closed his eyes and awaited the shuttle. He was sure that his City, from which the system was named, wasn’t as… Impressive as others, but perhaps he would find it quaint, one could even still see green grassland from the high points, overlooking the sea through the metal skyscrapers that dotted the landscape.
