- Deceptive Appearance: While at first glance, the staff appears to be nothing more than an ornate, archaic weapon, it is actually far more intricate. The wooden staff is imbued with the force, making it resilient to lightsabers.

The Bo Staff known as Aurora was named after Nicholas' late wife. Originally intended as a gift, it never reached its intended owner as Aurora was murdered on the night that Nicholas obtained it (Refer to Bio for more details). Since then, the wanderer kept the weapon in memory of her.
The weapon is originally of Echani origin, used as a ceremonial weapon. It has, however, been modified. First, Nicholas imbued the staff with the force when he came under the tutelage of an exiled jedi weapons master, who taught him how to wield the weapon.
Upon the end of his training, Nicholas sought to improve the weapon further. Using a lightsaber (which he obtained from the same exile), Nicholas split the staff in two, installing a junction mechanism before laying the second half to rest with Aurora's body. Then he proceeded to modify the saber's casing, making an identical half, while simultaneously converting the regular lightsaber into a saber cane.
Nicholas is never seen without the staff, at least not by his choice.
