Originally founded in the industrial sprawl of the Mid Rim during the twilight years of the High Republic, Auraxis began not as a weapons manufacturer, but as a specialized research firm focused on hyper-matter stabilization. The company's trajectory changed forever when lead researcher Dr. Vane Valtor discovered that by purposefully destabilizing ion particles before discharge, the resulting bolt didn't just short out electronics—it tore through the molecular bonds of physical armor.
While the rest of the galaxy played it safe with standardized plasma bolts and reliable laser fire, Auraxis Advanced Weaponry & Technology was born from a more dangerous ambition: the weaponization of the destabilized particle bolt disruptor beams. Formerly the tech had been used to great effect in mining operations, when stubborn materials refused to yield to other methods. However it was during an outbreak of an unknown strain of Blackwing virus on Mephout that the tech showed it excelled at somethin else entirely- containing various lifeforms that showed resistances to standard weaponry throughout the Galaxy.
After this showing the company mysteriously vanished from the public eye. It would later come to light that the CEO had been a victim of Blackwing infection and the very reason the effectiveness of the technology as a weapon had been truly understood in it's terrifying glory by those outside the company. One who took notice was Kurayami Bloodborn, who with the backing of the Dosuunian government moved to take control as the new CEO. The research that Dr. Valtor had buried under the pretenses of mining equipment was now redirected and put through decades of refinement and trials. The result was astounding. A hybrid of unstable particle bolt blaster envelopoing a core of ion disruptor energy. Both technologies worked seamlessly together to provide not only a massive kinetic punch to the target, but also the atmozation of any matter hit in a vein comparable to a T-6 ion disruptor rifle.
Personal weapons were only the start, once the technology was replicable to a stable degree then came the challenge of making it scalable and upgradable, allowing it to be scaled from the size of a hold out blaster up to capital-ship grade emplacements and enhanced with power cells and crystals like other energy weapons seen in the galaxy. Eventually the problems were solved and the tech was ready. As of 904 ABY the company has expanded to four additional locations on Eire, Seoul, Baralou, and Mephout.
RATIONALE
Auraxis Advanced Weaponry and Technology is a company that formed in the waning days of the High Republic in the Mid Rim. Kurayami's First contact with them came when some of their mining technology was utilized as improvised weaponry against a Blackwing outbreak decades ago on Mephout. Seeing the potential for this tech as a weapon, and unaware of its origins, he went to the government of Dosuun and recounted what he saw, providing video evidence. With their backing he acquired funds to make an offer to the CEO. When he went to do so it was revealed that the CEO had been a casualty of the Blackwing event, with the fact being kept under wraps. Reporting this to the government, he instead bought the company outright and took over as CEO. While keeping the headquarters on Dosuun, he has expanded the operations to four other nearby planets in the Commonwealth.
