Attack of the Killer Nightmare

[member="Lady Kay"] was just one target.

He was winning over the Queen of Commenor slowly, working from the confines of his lightsaber crystal. He still hated that he'd overestimated that bad and gotten stuck in a weapon, his weapon that was now carried on the waist of his possible killer. The energy he had access to was limited, he was keeping himself alive via pure willpower and the force alone.

He knew he would eventually die if he couldn't get free.

He had one person being won over, but it wasn't enough to help rescue him from his final target. Kay would need help, and Kei knew his next target. He'd make a friend in his days with the Silver Jedi, a friend who had become an enemy. However, Kei could manupulate her to rescue him, then he could make his peace with her. They would never truly agree, Jedi versus Sith and all that.

He needed her to fall asleep first.

He needed to wait until [member="Asaraa Vaashe"] fell asleep. Then he could use whatever energy he had to get into her mind, talk to her. It would take time, it was unlikely that she would believe him first time. She wouldn't believe him first time, he knew that. He just wait, keep working on her and keeping getting her to see what was going on and that he needed her help to free him.

He waited.

If there was one thing about a ship, any space ship out there it was the feeling of loneliness, even if you had a crew around you there was still that cut off. You were the only people around in space that could stretch as far as the eye could see. And when you were alone it got worse, each creak of the ship fuel for her fertile imagination to imagine boarders creeping up on her. Never mind that the force could tell her that there was nothing there, that all the ships systems showed that it was safe she just knew they were out there to get her. Unreasonable, maybe but it was better to be safe than sorry right?

Still it was no small relief to be back home, back in the safety of Silver’s Rest. Back in the safety of her own room, the comfort of her own bed. She’d never admit it, but the pulse of the temple, the murmur of people talking and moving around was nice. It was like sinking into a hot bath, that sense of warmth an comfort wrapping around her. The padawan was asleep before her head hit the pillow, reflexively snuggling into her blanket as she curled up on her bed.

It was strange, in a way.

Other than the fact he was a sentient lightsaber crystal, it was strange to be asking his sworn enemy for help. She had pretty much denied ever meeting him from the moment he'd shot the Zabrak in the Silver Rest on his way out. That seemed like an eon ago, a few generations at best. In reality, it had been maybe two years since then, if that. Kei tried to do quick math but it was difficult without any sense of what time it was.

She was asleep. Kei felt the connection he'd been silently forming with her spark.

It was go time.

She was dreaming. Kei didn't know what she was dreaming about, in reality he didn't care so long as he could get his voice heard, he'd even get it heard through the bunny. Either that, or she'd assume it was the clone attacking her in the real, not dream world.. Last he had heard, his clone had been somewhere in Silver Jedi space although that information was about a year and a half old so it was possibly factually incorrect.

He had to try.

"Asaraa, help me"

It was a voice she hadn't heard in months, at least not in person, that wasn't to say the voice was unfamiliar, it was a sound that haunted her nightmares with a fiendish regularity. Kei Raxis, a one time friend who had turned on the Silver Jedi, rejecting her friendship and fleeing to the edges of the Galaxy. She had heard that he'd met a sticky end, but hadn't managed to find out any more about her one-time friend.

The girl rolled over in her bed, one hand flashing out, swiping through the air as if she could clear his voice away with that waving hand. "Gettout of here, tryinta sleep." So she might have already been caught half asleep and not really aware of what was going on. She did know she could feel something through the force, real or imaginary she didn't know but it wasn't a voice she was enthralled about hearing right now when she was trying to sleep.
