Integral to their cultural the Ashan leader saw it fit that if Dax lead his armies, he should at least maintain some semblance to the Shasoti traditions. Athena had not taken to any owner in her 17 years of life, which was highly unusual for a Kuskuri. However, upon meeting Dax, one would have thought she had been linked to him for decades. Accepting her as his Kuskuri sealed the bond that now links the two both telepathically and as companions.[/SIZE]
