Born on Haruun Kal to the Ghosh (tribe) Faar, she was the only child of her mother and father, who were both excellent artists. Tribal life did not satisfy his father (always seen as a sort of crackpot), he associated with lowlanders, and their off-world visitors. Athena, however, loved their wild world, exploring, hunting, pushing herself. But her father, enamored by the galaxy beyond, did the unthinkable and left the jungles to start a new life. He chose to do this on Rishi.HISTORY
Athena did not have the talent, nor remotest interest, in her parents arts and crafts. As a teenager she found meaning in maintaining the strong body that came natural to life in the dangerous jungles of Haruun Kal. Life on Rishi had no such physical demands, so Athena worked tirelessly in exercise and training herself. It was a natural migration from a regimen of physical excellence to the martial trainings. As much as she could, she studied martial arts and took up marksmanship. Much to the dismay of her parents.
Galactic strife arose, as it always did, and Athena's politics clashed with her parents. The Mandalorian Enclave struggled as it strove to hold onto member worlds, like Rishi. She had secretly admired the Mandalorians since leaving Haruun Kal. Then she found a way to be as much like them as possible. The Aruetii Foreign Legion. At the age of twenty she enlisted, with only a small hope of being accepted by the elite non-Mandalorian force. Yet she did.
Leaving her family behind (only discovering later that they had been killed in unrest), Athena embraced her new life in the military with the devotion she had to the Four Pillars of the Korun. Athena's service record in the Aruetii was stellar and her reputation as physically aggressive and fearless helped her rise quickly through the ranks to become an officer, in spite of her sharp tongue and sarcasm. At the end of her five-year service, The Korun was offered to re-enlist, or become a Mandalorian foundling. There wasn't a moment of debate.
Since that monumental decision, Athena struggled to find her place among the disparate Mando factions, until the Mandalorian Empire was founded. There she found acceptance and accountability. She rose among the Protectors as a Rally Master, astride the Arkanian Dragon she had rescued as a wyrmling. But even now, she longs to belong to a family, to a clan.

APPEARANCE
Born in the perilous jungles of Haruun Kal and trained under the rigid physical regimen of the Mandalorian Enclave's Aruetii Military, Athena's physique is lean and muscular, maintained not only for optimum strength, but agility and speed.
She has the dusky brown skin and dark green eyes of her Korun parents. Her hair is raven black. Minor scars mar her skin in several places, a large one running across her cheek. She wears black and gray beskargam specially designed for fighting from dragon-back . While she is skilled in ranged weapons of all kinds, she favors her bes'kad when not mounted on her dragon.

Posion Resistance: Athena's Korun blood has a nature resistance to poison, stemming from the race's traditional proximity to toxic seaclouds on Haruun Kal.
Dragon Rider: Athena has trained a rescued Ingnine Arkanian Dragon as a war mount. While they are skilled as a team, there is still much to learn about the art of war dragon combat.
Force Sensitivity: All Korun are Force-sensitive. Before her family left Haruun Kal, Athena had alreaady learned how to utilize the Force to interact with animal life.
Loyal: Athena's acceptance into the Empire has inspired a fierce loyalty to it's philosophy and even more so to it's Mand'alor. As a Protector, Athena upholds the tenents of the Empire it is most remote locations.
WeaknessesDragon Bond: Athena's bond with Miit'alor is deeper than a temporary Force bond. Concern for the beast can influence her actions.
Sardonic: Sarcasm and sardonic humor has earned Athena the nickname "Mir'sheb", which is Mando'a for smart ass.
